Albertsons Market stores are again focusing their July fundraising efforts on supporting Military-related organizations, and are partnering with the USO in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex specifically to extend a helping hand to families of returned military.

Throughout July, customers at any Albertsons Market store can add a $1, $3 or $5 contribution to their grocery order when they’re checking out.  It’s as simple as selecting a coupon and having the cashier scan the UPC.  Donations appear on the customer’s final receipt.  In the Metroplex, Albertsons Market has a goal to raise enough funds to provide at least two families of returned military with a year’s supply of groceries.

“The USO does an amazing job supporting returned military and their families, and this campaign is to recognize not only their day-to-day efforts but also to bolster what they’re able to do overall,” says Wayne Denningham, President of Albertsons Market Southern Division.   “We couldn’t ask for a better partner in our mission to support veterans in the Metroplex.”

Customers can donate to veterans organizations until the end of July at any Albertsons Market store.
