Albertsons Takes off on the Best Road Trip. Ever! Again this Year

The Best Road Trip is Always the Next Road Trip! Customers share their best road trip for a chance to win a new, 2014 Ford model car
(Boise, ID – August 8, 2013) – Albertsons customers, if you haven’t been behind the wheel this summer for your annual vacation – or maybe your “stay-cation” plan seems a little too routine – grab your sunglasses and hit the virtual road because it’s time for the Best Road Trip. Ever!
In this month-long contest, we’re inviting all of our customers to create a story by captioning four images that you consider “road trip essentials.” Each time an entry is submitted, “miles” are added toward the value of the grand prize. As more “miles” are accumulated the value of the car increases, so a little creativity can go a long way!
How to Enter:
- Go to Albertsons.com/BRE2013
- Click the “Push to Start” button and provide: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, valid Email Address and select your State, City and nearest Albertsons Store on the Sweepstakes Submission Form.
- “Spin” to receive four product images, select an intro, caption each of the images and select a conclusion.
- Accumulate miles and start sharing with your friends. More miles = better car.
“Our social sweepstakes have proven to be a favorite of customers over the last year, and the Best Road Trip. Ever! Sweepstakes allows customers to creatively design their Road Trip with witty captions on our Instagram-style pictures,” said Karl Meinhardt, vice president of digital marketing. “As the number of entries grows and those entries are shared across social platforms, the value of the prize increases, starting at a 2014 Ford Fiesta up to a 2014 Ford Expedition, a $41,000 value. Then the finalists are determined by the number of votes unique entries receive. It’s been fun developing campaigns where we can combine our customers’ love for food, sharing and creativity with new social sweeps like this one.”

Entries and votes will be accepted through 11:59 PM Mountain Daylight Time on Tuesday,September 3rd, 2013. Where at that time, the prize will be frozen. There is no limit to the number of entries per person. The top five entrants, based on votes, in each of the Albertsons regional divisions will be declared finalists. One Grand Prize Winner from each Albertsons division will be randomly selected. Votes can be cast at Albertsons.com/BRE2013. Prizes will be awarded in the Grand Prize Winners’ local Albertsons store on a date to be determined.
