Family having a picnic

Vacation plans are in full swing, and whether your travel plans include hitting the beach, mountains, or heading to a lake house, vacations are about spending quality time with family and friends. Just as important as the summer activity planning is the meal planning to feed the hungry crowd. Delicious food is what brings everyone together and you can make mealtime a breeze with these all-age pleasing recipes.

A great make-ahead and freeze recipe is the Crispy Southwestern Lasagna— easy to make with tortillas and ready to pull out and cook making dinner effortless. One night usually is designated for grilling, so add extra chicken breasts to the pit for tomorrow’s dinner – Barbecue Chicken Pizza. This scrumptious pizza is easy to throw together – for a healthy bonus add any extra veggies you have around! Taco Rice Salad is hearty enough for the men, likeable by the young and a lighter throw together choice that may be doubled to feed the amount needed. Everyone comes running when you say tacos – the perfect meal to set out and let family come make their own and serve themselves. Of course no vacation is complete without breakfast and snacks and my Blueberry Muffin Streusel Cake has gone viral on Pinterest. I make in disposable foil pans- great for breakfast, snack or a light dessert. I always have the munchies on vacation so my go-to is Snack Mix for the ultimate sweet and salty combination.

Happy travels!
