Crowd Favorite Cheese Ball

Crowd Favorite CheeseballIngredients

4-5 Slices smoked lean deli ham
3 fresh green onions
2 (8 ounce) blocks low-fat or fat-free cream cheese
1 dry packet ranch dressing mix (such as Hidden Valley Ranch)
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts, toasted

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, place blocks of cream cheese to allow them to soften slightly while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

2. Finely chop ham and onions, and add to bowl of cream cheese along with packet of ranch. Using beaters, blend ingredients together. Carefully (rather messily) shape ingredients into a ball.

3. Refrigerate until serving. Just before serving, roll your Crowd Favorite Cheese Ball in chopped and toasted pecans or walnuts.

4. Serve with vegetables! Sliced bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, celery, broccoli, and cauliflower are delicious. Sliced pears and apples are great as well.

Sweet Cinnamon Peanut Butter Dip

Ingredients

1/2 cup peanut butter
1 (6 ounce) container natural or light vanilla yogurt (about 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Place peanut butter into small bowl or container. Add half of the vanilla yogurt, mixing with a spatula to combine.

2. Add the rest of the yogurt and cinnamon and mix until a smooth texture is reached. Serve with carrots, celery, bell peppers, apples, bananas, or pears!

The “Skinny Buffalo” Dip

The Skinny Buffalo DipJust say NO to buffalo wings that are 430 calories and 30 grams of fat a serving. From now on take your buffalo SKINNY, and with a side of celery for dipping.

Ingredients

1 rotisserie chicken, shredded
8 ounces low-fat or fat-free cream cheese
2/3 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s®)
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch® dry dressing mix
1 cup 0% fat Greek yogurt (such as Fage®)

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, ranch packet, hot sauce, and Greek yogurt until well combined. (if the cream cheese is hard to mix, microwave it for a few seconds and try again).

2. Add in the shredded chicken and combine well. Pour mixture into an 8×8 baking dish, and bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until dip is hot throughout. Top with green onions (or crumbled blue cheese) and serve hot!

Quick Mexican Party Dip

Quick Mexican Party DipA delicious and inexpensive dip the whole crowd will love! Serve with sliced bell peppers, cucumbers, or Toasted Flatbread Crisps.

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
1 can fat-free refried beans
1 cup frozen corn
1 1/2 cup 2% shredded monterrey jack cheese

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, stir salsa, beans, and corn together. Pour into a small casserole dish (8 x 8), and top with 2% cheese.

2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until hot and bubble.

Delicious Three Layer Dip

Delicious Three Layer DipThis south-of-the-border dip is beautiful AND delicious! Remember, all of the bright colors means lots of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants for your body.

Ingredients

1 can fat-free refried beans
1 cup salsa (your favorite kind)
1 cup 0% Greek yogurt (or light sour cream)
1 can black beans
1/2 large avocado
1 cup cherry tomatoes
2 green onions, chopped finely
kosher salt or sea salt

Directions

1. In a medium saucepan, heat refried beans with salsa, stirring to combine. Meanwhile, slice cherry tomatoes in half, and drain and rinse the black beans.

2. Once refried beans and salsa are completely heated, remove from stovetop and pour mixture into a 8×8 clear serving dish. Scoop Greek yogurt and spread on top of refried beans. Sprinkle on black beans, halved cherry tomatoes, and scoop avocado on top in small chunks.

3. Sprinkle a little kosher or sea salt over dish. Refrigerate until enjoying. Serve with sliced veggies.
