Souper Bowl of Caring

This is the seventh year in a row that stores in our Southern Division are participating in Souper Bowl of Caring.  Over the past five years, our stores, associates and customers have helped raised over  1.5 Million pounds of food that has gone straight to the shelves of local food banks throughout Central and East Texas.

This year we’ve partnered with Tom Thumb, Kroger, Market Street, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, the Star-Telegram, the Dallas Morning News, numerous radio stations and the Dallas Cowboys to collect food donations for the Tarrant Area and North Texas Food Banks and our Florida, Arkansas and Louisiana stores are teaming up with their local food banks to help those right in their neighborhoods.

Here is how YOU can helps us make it to 50,000 bags:

  • Buy a $8 pre-packed bag of food at ANY Albertsons store in the Southern Division (Central and East TX Albertsons stores, LA, AR, or FL) and place the bag in the Souper Bowl of Caring Food Donation bin.
  •  Make a $1, $3 or $5 donation at the register… just ask the cashier.
  • Purchase a $1 paper football icon

Donations will be accepted through February 2nd. Help us help our neighbors, and we can celebrate creating better lives in our communities.
