As a Store Director, you are the leader in day to day total store operations. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your store team in order to enhance the customer experience. Duties of an Assistant Store Director include responsibility for achieving Grocery and General Merchandise departmental sales and earnings budgets and supporting total store operations. Duties of a Department Manager include responsibility for the direct supervision of department operations that begins with providing outstanding customer service. Some of our departments include: Produce, Meat/Butcher Block, Service Deli, Bakery, General Merchandise/Non Foods, Grocery, and Front End Operations. Other responsibilities of a Department Manager range from sales and profitability to product presentation, from merchandising and stocking to staffing and training. This exciting and rewarding position allows you to demonstrate your creativity and grow your talents.

What is the program?
In this 12-18 month program, the Management Trainees receive a comprehensive education on every aspect of store operations. During this time, you'll be given key responsibilities and encouraged to make critical day to day decisions that contribute to store success, while participating in structured learning experiences. Whether a trainee for Center Store Manager/Assistant Grocery Manager or Assistant Store Director, you'll get the foundation you need for success as an eventual Store Director. The Store Director position is your gateway to exciting corporate career opportunities. The career possibilities at Albertsons are limitless!

What is the program?
Just like sampling a new product in your favorite Albertsons supermarket, an internship allows you to taste our unique way of retailing. We're proud of the recipe we've created to produce some of the most talented retailers in the business! Our Summer Internship program gives you the chance to learn retailing through a combination of mentoring and on the job skills training. You'll be assigned to a learning store and a Store Director who'll be your guide and mentor all summer long during your 8 week internship. In addition, you'll be assigned a project in marketing or operations at the start of the summer, and present your results and recommendations to the leadership team during your final week. This should give you a remarkably clear idea of what working the exciting and changing world of food retailing is all about.
