Pharmacy Residency Program

Albertsons (also known as Sav-on Drugs, Sav-on Pharmacy, Osco Drug, Jewel-Osco, Acme & Shaws) offers opportunities to advance your patient care skills through our Community Pharmacy Residency Program. This multi-site program is available in Chicago, IL and Indianapolis, IN. You have the clinical resources of a college of pharmacy and the resources of a Fortune 500 company in Albertsons to help develop pharmaceutical care and managerial/business skills. University affiliation provides a wide array of opportunities both in the community and academic settings. The residency program is currently affiliated with University of Illinois Chicago, Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and Purdue University. You will complete an Albertsons Residency Program with the skills necessary to practice in a wide variety of clinical environments.

These skills include management and clinical skills necessary to run a profitable pharmacy while providing financially sound patient care and disease management services. You will also have engaged in a range of activities that develop leadership, teaching and communication skills, including direct patient care, project development, teaching at universities and companies plus staff and corporate and central management training.
