Celebrating 10 Years of Community Baby Shower!
Jun 13th, 2016
It seems like just yesterday when local news anchor, Michelle Edmonds, came up with the idea of helping local mothers and families in need. She saw an immediate need in the community for parenting essentials, such as baby supplies and educational opportunities for expectant parents. Soon after, Community Baby Shower was “born,” and 10 years later we are “expecting” the biggest turnout yet.
Community Baby Shower is a one-day giving event, with all donations distributed to local families in need. Recipients receive the items by participating in parenting classes and reaching self-sufficiency goals through the guidance of four local non-profits, including Catholic Charities of Idaho, Marian Pritchett School, BabySteps, and Baby Haven.
Please join us, along with 6 On Your Side and Blue Cross of Idaho, as we reflect on the past 10 years of Community Baby Shower and ask for your generous donations to help local parents and babies in need. Your donation makes a difference and will help create a better beginning for our youngest Idahoans.
Supplies can be donated on June 22 at any Treasure Valley Albertsons store– just look for the Community Baby Shower bin or ask your friendly store associate for details.
Accepted donations include:
Baby care products
