Cookies for the Troops
Nov 11th, 2012
A few weeks ago Mary Mallory, an associate at our Prescott Valley, Arizona store, received a heart-warming letter from a soldier stationed overseas. For the past 9 years Mary has been sending an Albertsons Market Cookie care package to troops stationed all over the world. Mary doesn’t do this alone, through the care and thoughtful donations made by her amazing community Mary has been able to send over 400,000 cookies.
Dear Mary Mallory,
On behalf of the men of 3rd platoon Apache company 2nd battalion 12th infantry regiment we would like to thank you for sending us the cookies. I personally know how delicious they are for every time my parents took us to Albertsons My brothers and I first thing would run to the bakery and eat the chocolate chip cookies. For being away from home for so long it is nice to have a little taste of home, Thank you so much for the cookies and most of all thank you or the support.

From all of us here at Albertsons Market – thank you SGT Selinsky for serving our country proudly and for protecting our freedoms. We look forward to your safe return home but until then, enjoy those yummy cookies!
Next time you have the opportunity, stop by the Albertsons Market on East Highway 69 in Prescott Valley and give Mary a high-five or better yet, donate a purple bag of Albertsons Market Cookies and help Mary continue her inspiring efforts.
