The online sweepstakes for the $1000 gift cards says there will be 75 winners drawn and a grand prize winner of $15,000. The winners listed above under $1000 sweepstakes, there are only 46 names. Where are the 75 winners and who won the $15,000 grand prize?

    • Customer Care 02/07/2014 at 11:35 pm

Hello, Denise. The winners of the sweepstakes will only be shown for your banner, which is Albertsons. The second chance drawing was held, this means nobody claimed the top six prizes. We hope this helps. ~Cindy

  2. Niel Shuda 04/07/2014 at 9:58 am

The 55 million Monopoly Game was the worst completion I have seen, I was scared I would win the $15 monopoly game, also a $5 or $10, what would one do with any of these 3 , next time do not even offer them !! My house and mind is still covered in this confetti !!.But, it’s like you no self checkout’s in Las Vegas. I tend to now avoid buying from Albersons, cashiers are fine, just can’t beat the self checkout when its busy.

We are sorry to learn that you did not enjoy the Monopoly Game, Niel. We will forward your comments about the game and the self check out lanes for review to our Promotions and Operations Teams. ~Victor

Hello, Tanya. When did you mail in your claims? Did you request to be contacted/notified by e-mail? We would be happy to assist you with this. We await your response. ~Stephanie

  4. Darlene Emery 06/07/2014 at 12:34 pm

Who did not claim the top six prizes, were these sent by e-mail, followed up with a phone call. I see in the comments from Tanya that there is a communication on prizes. Who were the six people that played the game, bothered to file their tickets on line, then did not claim there prize. Seems a bit out there don’t you think…..

    • Customer Care 07/07/2014 at 11:40 am

Sorry for any confusion, Darlene. The top six (6) prizes that were not claimed, which allowed a 2nd Chance Drawing to be held, were the three (3) $1,000,000 Cash (30-year annuity) prizes and the three (3) $500,000 Dream Home prizes. The only way to win these prizes were to collect specified game tickets, which were available with in store purchases. These were not instant win prizes from the online sweepstakes. There were no valid winners who came forward before the end of the promotion for these prizes. I hope this clears up the confusion. Thanks for bringing your questions to our attention and I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Kimberly

  5. Cynthia S. 07/07/2014 at 9:01 am

where is the winners list from the online entries? I entered sooooo many online codes and only won a free can of black pepper and a 2 lt. of dr. pepper drink. I was hoping to win from the drawing from entering the codes from the game pieces..

  6. Cynthia S. 07/07/2014 at 9:07 am

why did most of the winners come out of California? I checked the winners list only 2 (two) winner out of Baton Rouge La. I shop at Albertsons a lot.

  7. martin 08/07/2014 at 6:07 am

ok so did the second chance winner claim his or her prize? if not, will there be another one? just trying to figure out if its safe or not to throw out all 1,655 of my online entries. and truth be told if that was only my online entry amount if you could only imagain how many game peices i had figure about 5,000 game packs and only won game tickets, a couple red box winners that i never use and a free ice cream. were there even any low dollar amount winners you wonder, never ever ever will i ever play this scam again, nor will I shop at albertson’s or any of the chain stores again during any promation. I am also mad the dog food i buy and that my dogs love (happy dog food) was taken off of your shelfs, i mean it was only a selling product and was cheaper, but since you guys have been redoing my store i have also noticed that you do not like to keep cheaper products in your store anymore. maybe you should keep in mind that your store is within walking distance of many low income apartments. do the math.

  8. Deb Hewus 08/07/2014 at 1:56 pm

Out of curiosity, when were the 2nd chance #’s posted, and what was the time frame for those numbers to be claimed? In other words, when did the 2nd chance promotion end?
    Thanks, I love this game!

    • Customer Care 09/07/2014 at 3:54 am

Great question, Deb. If the top 6 prizes had not been claimed then the second chance drawing was on or around June 20, 2014. Hope this helps, and if you need anything else, let me know. ~Cindy

  9. Elton B Smith 09/07/2014 at 6:20 am

I have a game code that was supposedly a winner but never got an email and didn’t see my name on any list. If it was a winner why wasn’t I notified by email.

    • Customer Care 10/07/2014 at 12:20 am

      Hello Elton,

I’d be happy to look into this for you. If you could please email me the following information to AlbertsonsHelprs@albertsons.com:

  10. Fete Harmon 10/07/2014 at 7:24 pm

I did send in my code before the dead line June 17 and I didn’t get anything either how should I know I win or get something

  11. Beverly S 11/07/2014 at 10:12 am

I am very confused by the second chance drawing part of this game. In the rules it was written that in the second chance drawing winners would be chosen from the online entries. Now they’re saying that nobody entered the second chance drawing? Huh? That can’t be, because I entered the second chance drawing online, and I know that I am not the only one. What is gong on with this game? Doesn’t seem on the “up and up” to me.

    • Customer Care 11/07/2014 at 2:59 pm

Sorry about any confusion there, Beverly. On this blog, the Second Chance Drawing winner is listed as the $500,000 Cash winner, Melissa E. from Upland, CA. I hope that helps clear that up! ~Zachary

  12. rachel phillips 11/07/2014 at 3:54 pm

There were no winners out of Tooele, UT. How is that? At the store they listed someone winning the Apple Air, $1000, and some of the other prizes that are listed here, yet none of them is listed!

    • Customer Care 13/07/2014 at 3:57 am

Thanks for letting us know, Rachel. We will forward your comments to our Promotions team to make sure the list of winners is accurate. ~Victor

  13. Rachel P. 11/07/2014 at 4:06 pm

I would like to congratulate the following $1000 sweepstakes winners as well:
Allisa S. (Loveland, CO)( who won 3 times)
Meghan C. (Mansfield, TX) (who won 3 times)
Letitia D. (Fort Worth, TX) (who won 3 times)
Donna S. (Hamilton, MT) (who won 3 times)
Cliff D. (Ontario, OR) (who won 3 times)
Marilyn K. (Mercer Island, WA) (who won 3 times)
Ronald B. (Glendora, CA) (who won 3 times)
Mike H. (Great Falls, MT) (who only won 3 times). Maybe it was a typo in typing up the list, maybe not. But those people are all listed 2 or 3 times, all in the same order.

  14. Richard bryan 11/07/2014 at 7:48 pm

I have played each one of your games and I have noticed that unless you state that the grand amounts are guaranteed to be payed out to the game participant you find a way not to pay them. Your comment above was side stepping the question . It is much like the IRS losing the emails from their computers. We would like to see payouts backing up your advertisement

    • Customer Care 13/07/2014 at 4:58 am

We are happy to hear you have participated in our games, Richard. We make sure participants have a chance to win the prizes and will never turn away a verified winner at any prize level. For the Monopoly Game this year, we held a second chance drawing to guarantee a high level prize winner. We will forward your comments to our Promotions Team to help us improve. We look forward to offering more promotions for our customers to have fun while they shop! ~Victor

  15. Mark Laing 15/07/2014 at 10:04 pm

Nobody claimed the top six prizes?
    Rigged game like most sweapstakes.
    What a joke.
    Why bother!?!?

  16. Erica 17/07/2014 at 6:00 pm

    Dear Customer Care,

Did anyone win the $1,000,000 or (2) $500,000 cash prizes? This was a fun game but looking back it was very confusing. Also the date on this website is showing future dates for post by users. I am posting my question on 7/17/14.

    Thank You

    • Customer Care 17/07/2014 at 7:47 pm

I’m sorry for any confusion, Erica, and I apologize for the wacky website posting dates, it throws me off as well! The top six (6) prizes that were not claimed, which allowed a 2nd Chance Drawing to be held, were the three (3) $1,000,000 Cash (30-year annuity) prizes and the three (3) $500,000 Dream Home prize and there were no valid winners who came forward before the end of the promotion for these prizes. I appreciate your participation in the game, your post, and I hope you have a fantastic evening. ~Shasta

  17. Hong 19/07/2014 at 5:31 pm

It’s now July 19 2014. Who were the winners of the second drawing?? I want to know to if I should throw out my game pieces.

    • Customer Care 19/07/2014 at 6:11 pm

I looked into this, Hong, and a lucky Albertsons customer in Upland, CA won the Second Chance Drawing! Thanks for playing! ~ George

  18. Hong 19/07/2014 at 5:37 pm

If the second drawing was done, what were the winning game pieces posted on the website? How does one know if he/she won? Please clarify how, when, and where we can find out more about the second drawing.

    • Customer Care 19/07/2014 at 6:12 pm

The winner for the Second Chance drawing would be contacted based on the information they provided for their Monopoly Collect and Win Online Game account. As it stands right now, the Second Chance drawing was held and won by a lucky customer in Upland, CA. ~ George

  19. Delwyn Haroldson 24/07/2014 at 9:59 am

I would like to advise you that this game was way too complicated to understand and it required us to do way too much on the computer just to sometimes win only another free ticket. Next time, simplify, simplify, simplify.

    • Customer Care 25/07/2014 at 3:30 am

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Monopoly Game, Delwyn. We will make sure your comments are forwarded to our Promotions team for their consideration. ~Victor

  20. Debra Townsend 08/08/2014 at 11:55 pm

Did anyone win the million dollar prize at this store.

    • Customer Care 09/08/2014 at 6:39 am

Hi, Debra. This year, we had no grand prize winners. The list on this blog is the most up to date for Albertsons. ~Victor

  21. Charlene Bader 23/08/2014 at 1:44 pm

Please, please tell your marketing team to come up with a new promo. This Monopoly game is such a beating for your customers and associates alike. It’s very time-intensive and tedious, and it’s apparent from the prize list that the incentives just aren’t worth the effort. You’re burning out regular customers, a somewhat counter-intuitive marketing strategy. I’d rather see the money go to lower prices in your stores.
    Thanks,
    Charlene

    • Customer Care 24/08/2014 at 9:29 am

We appreciate your feedback on our promotions, Charlene. We have a couple current promotions that may interest you. I’d like to invite you to check out the Best Road Trip Ever at http://Albertsons.com/BRE and our Summer of Selfies at http://albertsonsselfies.com. You can check out the official rules on the webpages. Thanks for taking the time to post, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! ~Zachary

  22. Araceli 05/02/2015 at 8:48 am

How come winners are only from the west coast??

    • Customer Care 05/02/2015 at 9:17 am

Hi Araceli. I was just looking over the winners list from last year and we had winners from many different areas. We hope you play and good luck! ~Shasta

  23. Kat 07/02/2015 at 1:30 pm

Why doesn’t the company keep trying to distribute the winnings. I do not believe that no winners for the prizes should ever be an option. I personally received tens of multiple duplicate tickets. It seems that the company never intended for anyone to win the top prizes in this game.

    • Customer Care 09/02/2015 at 6:40 am

Hi, Kat. We’ll share your feedback about the prize distribution for the Monopoly Game. In regards to the top prizes, there will be a second chance drawing this year if none of the top 6 prizes are claimed. ~Victor

  24. Bernadett Majewski 20/02/2015 at 3:29 pm

The email below is what I receive everytime I can a winning game piece.

am extremely disappointed that I have to use my own printer ink and print out my own paper only to be given away for more invalid game code peices. Why must we print out anything and take it anywhere to get 2 game pieces. THis makes me not want to play this game since it is so time consuming. I would really like to see a “less” involved game in the future.

Again…to use my own paper and ink for a game piece??? I have already spent so much money at Albertsons.

Were there no winners in Illinois?
Do the Jewel Osco Monopoly prizes come from the same prize pool? Found this list for 2014: http://www.jewelosco.com/2014/07/monopoly-winners-to-date/

but then Alberton’s has no mention of any of them.

Please email me with a response.
    It is 3/2/15

Is there anyway to verify these winners are even real people! The names are all so typical. Does not sound like American names to me. I think the winner list is a complete fraud, and your nonchalant attitude toward your loyal following is obnoxious. Will any of the top winners please leave a comment to verify and let us know you are real. Thank you.

No Illinois winners…..I needed one on everything. Scam!!! Won’t bother next year. California and Arizona were the big winners.

Once you enter the online codes, winning tickets get attached to a form and taken to the store to collect your prize.. normally 2 free tickets.
all the rest say not a winner – do you need to keep all of the not a winner tickets for the 2nd chance drawing? or can you throw the losing codes away.

Hi Colleen, we suggest holding onto the “not a winner” tickets for the 2nd Chance Drawing. Good luck! -Rebecca

When is the second chance drawing for the 2016 game?

    • Customer Support 19/04/2016 at 4:35 pm

Hi Jeff! If none of the top six prizes are claimed by May 25, 2016, only then will a random second chance drawing from all valid sweepstakes entries occur on or about June 6, 2016 for one (1) $500,000 Cash Prize. We hope this helps! -Rebecca

I can’t find the page where you spend hours checking your online codes to see if you get 2 more chances and a shot at a second chance item. [the cheapest of the lot.] I stumbled on this page which is really just an apology page, but have not found where to verify my tickets.

When there are 3 actual winners of the million dollar prize I will shop at Safeway again. Unless you rollover unclaimed winnings to the next year you are misrepresenting the payout of this contest. What else are you misrepresenting? If there are not 3 million dollar winners this year then you should at least have 600000 5 dollar winners next year to allow the millions of people that faithfully play this game some realistic hope of actually winning something, with 1000s of winners in every state.

Until then adios. I’ll vote with my dollar, and maybe someday if you are nice to me, and really really lucky I’ll give you a 5 dollar prize.
