Maple Elementary School students in Fullerton, CA have yet another excellent reason to make school a priority.  Mott’s, part of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, the non-profit group, KaBOOM! and Albertsons So Cal Division recently joined efforts to present the 500-member student body with their own Imagination Playground in a Cart™.

Made available by a Let’s Play Grant from Mott’s, Imagination Playground™ is an innovative design in recreational equipment that encourages creativity, communication and collaboration in play. With a collection of custom-designed, oversized blue foam parts, Imagination Playground™ provides a changing array of elements that encourages children to turn their playground into a space constantly built and re-built by their imagination.  This is the first Imagination Playground™ awarded to the Fullerton School District.

Located in historic downtown Fullerton, Maple Elementary School is a short distance from Albertsons corporate office and shares a special relationship with its associates.

“For the past two years, the office and local store teams have adopted the ‘Maple Mustangs’ during the holiday season, showering them with gifts and plenty of joy,” emphasized the division’s External Communications/Public Affairs Manager Lilia Rodriguez.

“When the opportunity to select a recipient presented itself,  we thought of the Maple Mustangs.  This school is truly a place where parents and faculty work in unison to help their children thrive!”

Mott’s and Dr. Pepper Snapple Groups support KaBOOM! in promoting and protecting a child’s right to play at home, at school and in the community. The project is part of Let’s Play, a community partnership led by Dr. Pepper Snapple Group to get kids and families active nationwide.

Shortly after the official unveiling, the youngsters opened up the carts and begun building away on  the school’s blacktop.  Indeed, it was a great day!
