Q:How does Just for U work?
A:You first need to sign up the program, and then you need to use the mobile app to browse and add Just for U coupons. When you are at the store’s checkout, you simply enter the phone number in the keypad of the checkout stand. The Just for U coupons you added earlier will automatically apply to your purchase.
Q:How can I update my phone number or other personal information?
A:Please call us toll free at: 1-877-276-9637.
Q:I still need help. How do I contact the customer service?
A:To contact us, use the Feedback form from the previous page or call 1-877-276-9637.
Q:Why do you ask for my permission for using my phone’s GPS location?
A:Once permission is given, the mobile app will be able to use your phone’s current location to locate your nearest store automatically. The app can still work without your GPS location, but you’ll need to manually enter an address when using the store locator.
Q:Why do you ask for my password?
A:We need to know who you are so we can sign you in to the correct account.
Q:How long does it take for coupons and offers I just added to be effective in the store?
A:As quickly as 5 minutes after you register and add your offers.

    Will my Tom Thumb/Safeway JUST FOR YOU rewards card work at ALBERTSON’s named stores or will I need to have 2 separate cards, one for Tom Thumb and another for Albertsons?

    I have an old Just For U signed up for Tom Thumb. Does the same account work for Albertsons? I don’t have a smart phone. How do you load the coupons? How do I sign up if I need to open another Just 4 U for Albertsons without a smart phone. You really made a huge assumption that all people have smart phones.

    What about your customers who do not have a smart phone? Dollar General has a program where you can download offers online and access at store through any phone number. This stinks big time. Albertson’s is losing market share in my area and this will further their decline faster. Last store in Plano closing this month. Currently going to Richardson. Looks like I will be dropping Albertsons!

    How can someone like me that doesn’t have one of these phones get to take advantage of these savings? Looks like you are leaving out those that don’t have one of these more expensive cell phones. That is like discrimination in a way. I understand it is for convenience but should be a way for someone to use their email to get these offers.

    Wish a regular computer or a Windows based device can use the app. If all your good sales are through the app, I have no device that can get it so I will have to shop elsewhere. Kroger has their digital coupons at kroger.com and anyone can use that. Why not have the albertson.com set up for digital coupons.

    Just a disappointed customer.

    What a brain-dead program to require a smart phone (iPhone or Android) to take advantage of. For the record, a Windows phone is also a smart phone and is able to run apps downloadable from the Windows app store. Indeed, that would enable the app to run on Windows 8+ PCs too! That the program works for Tom Thumb stores in our area without a smart phone is evidence that it is possible. You deserve to lose a lot of business for this poor decision.

    I have an android/Galaxy S6. I downloaded the app and tried to register. I just keep getting the message “Server Not Reachable” no matter what I do. I allowed it to see my location. I uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted the phone and STILL get the same message. What good is it if I can’t even register? For the record, I am in southwest Fort Worth,less than a mile from my nearest Albertsons (Sycamore School Rd) not out in the country. It should not be having any trouble. Same thing happens whether on WiFi or on regular Data. NOTHING.

    I don’t have an iphone but have shopped at Albertsons for 40 years. That stops today!
    I can load coupons from my computer at Kroger so guess they will be getting my business from now on. Albertsons is losing customers everyday, way to go management!

    I really have to agree with all the negative comments…doing this on the computer would be so much nicer than having to use up space on a smart phone. I have a smart phone and can sign up but like the Tom Thumb way a whole lot better. I like to print out my grocery list and take it to the store adding any additional items I might need. Your way….I doubt I will even get the items that are on special since I will not have a printed list. Hope this changes SOON….AND we will have the opportunity to remove it from the phone and receive it on the computer instead. I think enough people have expressed the change that needs to take place so….HELP…let’s get it done!

    I already have Just for U at Tom Thumb. A cashier at my Albertsons told me that I had to separately sign up for Albertsons that Just for U is not merged for both stores. I called 1-877-276-9637 they told me that I had to go online to Albertsons.com and sign up for Justfor for Albertsons. When I searched the website, all I found were this area. How do I sign up for both? I do not see a way to do this on the smart phone App.

The Albertsons Just For Your is only available as a mobile app at this time, so you can download that on your smart phone, and then sign in using the same username and password that you use for Tom Thumb, however, the offers will be different for each store.     I have shopped at Albertsons since they opened near me at I 20 in Arlington Texas. I have lived here over 40 years, so an a long time customer. However Kroger is up the road and has the same sort of program. I am hesitant to give out my cell # as I do not want all sorts of texts etc. that I will eventually end up paying for. Then, how do my husband and I both use the same account. He shops, I download. Though I prefer Albertsons, think I might just go to Kroger. It will make me mad if I cannot get the Just for U benefits and Kroger I can do on my home laptop and it goes to our card. Sorry. Might try this but sounds like nobody above is real thrilled.

    I was trying to find the app on my Windows phone to download the (justforu.app) but it was not available. I called the 800 for questions and the gentleman I spoke to was not familiar with my type of phone? As a Senior citizen I can’t afford an IPhone or Android phone and I’m sure I’m not alone. Why didn’t Albertsons think this through before launching this program so that everyone would be able to use this product?

    Well thanks Albertsons. I have enjoyed shopping at your store, however, now I will go elsewhere. I too don’t have a smart phone or Android. Just a flip phone for emergencies. If I can’t download the coupons on my desktop…well …someone else will profit from my business. To me this program kinda discriminates toward the ones that have just basic phones. It has left out a big portion of customers along with revenue that just went out the door. Not a great idea.

    As a stay-at-home mom of young children living on a single income, I take my grocery spending seriously, as many people on limited budgets do. I am beyond dumbfounded that those who may not be able to afford such luxuries as a smart phone cannot take advantage of the savings Albertsons is offering through the Just for U program. Someone somewhere needs to rethink this limitation. I know that there are probably a great deal of elderly individuals that will miss out on this Just for U program as they too do not often have smartphones. And let’s be honest, when I’m at Albertsons with the kiddos at 10 am, the majority of other customers are much older than myself. Bad form Albertsons, you left out probably your biggest shopper population with this poor decision. Unless this is adjusted promptly, I don’t see myself shopping at Albertsons again, sorry to say.

    Well your promo is off to a shaky start at the Albertsons in Bedford TX. I tried it but there aren’t any real values inside. Checked the Meat section and all I could find was Ground Beef and Lunchables snack pkgs. Saw a discount for some chips but this store didn’t have that kind. Under the Bread section all that was allowed was in-house bakery items…. No commercial bread companies listed. Beverages? Some Gatorade and several off-brand juices. Pretty poor in my humble opinion.
    Talked to several other patrons and it seems the discounts are aimed at the kids market. Not much for the older or mature adult.

    For comparison sake, my latest Kroger coupon pkg included Grands Biscuits, Pepsi 2 liters products, Packaged salads, fresh mushrooms, canned veggies, Nighthawk frozen dinners, Birds Eye frozen steamers, frozen chicken breasts, frozen shrimp, shredded or block cheese, and all varieties of Toastitos chips.

    It seems to me that Just for U discriminates. I ‘am a senior citizen and could benefit from the program as most seniors could but do not have a smart phone. Why is your target customer smart phone users only? The program should be open to all customers.

    Just for u. Albertsons. I can’t get the app on my phine it’s a windows phone. So tried my iPad only app on it is safe ways.
    Go Internet can see the Google anidoid app. But don’t know if it will work on iPad or windows phone.

    WHY WHY WHY would your company only make savings available to Iphone and Adroid phone users?!!! As if everyone can afford them. I have a windows phone but the app is not available. I refuse to shop at this store when I see discounts available to those with better phones and not everyone else, like my family. Talk about discrimination!!!!

    Is the app having difficulty? I successfully downloaded the app but it will not allow me to log in with my existing account info from Tom Thumb. Having this be mobile based and not reliable is not a good look.

    I can never see the special offers after I add them — like 99 cent water. So I don’t know what brands and sizes to pick up and none of the cashiers know about what’s being offered. Very frustrating.

    I have installed the Just for U on my cell phone as suggested. It would be nice if I could download my digital coupons through my laptop as I can SEE the coupons better than on my cell screen. My phone is usually on the charger and mostly used when away from home. My laptop or IPad are always handy at home and away. I download my digital coupons from other groceries from my laptop while watching TV. Is this something that might be considered in the future? Older eyes need larger screens. Thanks.

    I installed the APP and it will not let me register. it tells me it has no locations near me. how do I fix this? I just want to register and it will not let me. even if I put in the zip code by hand

Please note that if you have previously registered for just for U at a sister store, such as Tom Thumb or Randalls, it will not permit you to register again. You will simply use your same login information on the just for U mobile app. Additionally, if you are trying to access the app from out of the participating area, you will receive a message and have the option to select “not my location”.     I don’t think it is a good idea to shut out a percentage of your customers that do not have the latest and greatest cell phone. They are likely the shoppers that need all the help they can get with coupons. Or the elderly. I do not think this was a well thought out launch.

    Can I use a paper coupon on top of a weekly ad “just for U”? For example, this week, I have a “just for U” offer for Nature Valley granola bars for $1.49, and I have a paper coupon for $.50 off two boxes. Can I do both? Thanks.

      Hi Kimberley! Store coupons can be stacked with manufacturer coupons. We DO allow customers to stack one Store coupon and one Manufacturer coupon per item. Our policy states that we do not allow the stacking of two manufacturer coupons. If this is a store coupon on j4u, and the other is a manufacturer, they can be combined. We hope this helps! -Rebecca

    I have downloaded the app on my smartphone (android) but it will not let me register. I get and error message everytime that says “server not reachable”. When i put my zip code in, it tells me there are no Albertsons stores avialable. I have friends and family that use this everyday. Please help!

    I just wanted to let you know that I am so glad that you finally have this app but like many others have said it would be beneficial to be able to login from my computer as well to take advantage of your savings. I like to bargain shop and see what deals are out there and I tend to do that on my laptop. I am able to do this with my Kroger card but I enjoy the customer service I get at my local Albertsons.

    i’ve noticed that the app doesn’t always keep the coupons added. after opening the app on my phone every now and again. all the coupons seem to be unloaded and i’ll have to reload them a second and third time. is this normal?

    This is terribly unfair to those can not afford to buy a smart phone, don’t need the added expense of owning one, or just not want one. Now Albertson’s is making our groceries are more expensive because of it? Shame on you. As stated above you will share our opinions with your marketing department. I think you need a new marketing department. They didn’t think this through very well. Thank goodness other grocery stores don’t penalize people for not owning a smart phone.

    i donot own a smart phone and don’t plan to get one . so guess i will be shopping at kroger from now on . i get my digital coupons on line and use them when i shop . yall need to rethink this for certain customers only that have a smart phone , not a satisfied albertson customer !!!!!!!1

    this is definitely discrimination against those of us that don’t have smart phones. And your stock answer of “we’re sorry about the inconvenience” etc. is very insincere. If you were sorry you’d make it available online like Kroger and many other stores do. I’m am not shopping at Albertson’s anymore either and am even having my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy So please don’t give me that stock answer. It’s just unacceptable

    So many of my friends (mid fifties and over) do not own smart phones. For some, it is economics; for others, it’s a distrust with putting your information out there; and still others are not technically savvy…and want to keep life simple. Our group (most on fixed incomes) , have always (and quite loyally) counted on Albertsons for quality food with great specials. I, personally felt a “sting” when I saw the ad (just 4 u) and felt that I had been shut out. It’s sort of “age discrimination”. You need to stay focused on quality food and prices (w/specials) that older people can afford…rather than making people jump through hoops to get specials only if they can afford a smart phone. I use my flip top phone for calls only. Your “techie gurus” in the marketing department need to think this through.

    this app won’t work on our windows operating systems phones. not everyone has an iphone or android….and elderly shoppers are not tech savy either. hopefully you will expand the app so everyone can enjoy the savings and gas rewards.

    Improve the old-fashioned way- make these savings available to people who don’t own smart phones. You have coupons printed in the ads, and they can’t even be used! It’s both misleading, and discriminatory. This program is incredibly aggravating, and has lead me to reconsider where I do my shopping.

    I don’t have a smart phone and am not about to buy one. I think it is pretty lousy of you to deny customers access to savings because of it. Smith’s has a reward card that I can down load digital coupons to easily. Guess I’ll be shopping a Smith’s and not at Albertsons!!!!!!!!!!

    Without intention, albertsons has discriminately eliminated some old time customers. In todays electronic world, there is no reason a particular phone has to be used with no alternative, such as kroger and other stores use the internet. I suppose the major stockholders in albertsons has stock in the phone companies required.

    I’m seeing that back in June you stated you were working to improve this savings program for those of us that don’t have smart phones OR IN MY CASE….use a Windows smart phone, not Android or IOS!!!!
    Cashiers are saying we can view and save coupons on our desktops at home then access via our phone numbers at the cashier’s kiosk but I’m not seeing place to register on this particular website. Please advise if they are giving misinformation or….even better….where I can sign up and begin using based on the above-mentioned conditions!!
    Otherwise…will be looking forward to HEB and Central Market moving in within a mile of your Colleyville store and moving my biz to them!!

    I have consistently picked coupons in the app on my phone. My husband and daughter faithfully enter the number at the checkout (I did tonight also!)

    Tonight 9/1/16 I did the shopping myself! Punched in the card info…

    I came home and double checked the receipt against what should have been charged.. Discounts for Just4U app

    provided a $6.50 discount!

    But it left off $16.00 worth of discounts that were marked..

    My discount should have totaled $22.50 BUT I only received $6.50

    On 8/28/16 my daughter purchased 10 items… and it provided $0 coupons for just4u and should have deducted $.50

    So now we are out an additional $16.50 in discounts because your system picks and chooses what coupons or discounts to utilize at its whim.

    Obviously the promotion of SAVE, SAVE 20% More, Savings Program is defective and a waste of my time for how long it takes to go thru and check then have to triple check receipts.. No wonder people in the checkout lines hate coupons… and coupon-er customers…

    I only use a Windows phone and PC, why do I have to pay more than the people that use Android/iPhone? This seems like a really poor marketing idea, give a discount for about half of your customers, and the other half are just supposed to be happy about this? Are you doing anything to keep the customers that are having to pay a premium for not qualifying for these promotions to go to alternate retailers. I shop for a family of seven and spend $600+ perfect. Month at Albertsons, but while Fred Meyer, the local Kroger owned retailer has a similar option of adding coupons to use with your phone number, they do not require a specific phone. I think I will start going elsewhere. This is really appalling.

    I am a loyal, long-time Albertsons customer. I think it is very unfair to be able to only access the coupons on a smart phone. I do not have one. Not everyone does. Also, it seems like from the questions and responses, so may things are not available at this time. It shouldn’t have been launched until available.

    This is really upsetting seeing the values in
    my weekly ad and can not benefit from them.
    Do not have a smart phone and do not want one. I shop at your store all the time and think this is so unfair to your regular customers that always support your store, even over Wall-Mart.
