Let’s Celebrate: Idaho Wine Month
Jun 21st, 2013
Idaho has been growing grapes and making wine long before it was a state so it is about time for a celebration and we are doing just that our Idaho-based Albertsons stores. June is Idaho Wine Month and Governor Butch Otter stopped by the Albertsons store at 16th and State on June 18 to greet customers, tell stories about Joe Albertson, and sign bottles of wine produced in Idaho.
Idaho is home to more than 50 wineries with more than 1,600 acres of grapes. It is a growing industry that is winning awards and gaining influence throughout the country.
Customers can find more than 50 varieties of Idaho wine at their local Albertsons and it now is a great time to conduct a treasure hunt. Through June 25, Albertsons is offering all customers 20% off when you purchase six bottles of 750 ml wine. It’s a great way to save money, savior some local flavor, and discover why Idaho is becoming famous for more than just potatoes.
