Over $25,000 in Milk Donated to the Idaho Foodbank
Mar 17th, 2016
Many of us are taught at an early age the importance of milk and its plethora of nutrients. Maybe you grew up with milk as a part of school lunches, enjoyed a delicious bottle of chocolate milk as a treat or poured it over your favorite cereal. Milk has likely been a part of your life for quite some time. It’s easy to take those small, important things for granted, but unfortunately, not everyone has access to milk when they need it.
From Feb. 26 to March 13, Albertsons asked the community to donate Moo Bucks in increments of $1, $3, or $5 to help support a local food bank. By partnering with the United Dairymen of Idaho, the goal was to provide as much milk to the Idaho Foodbank as possible.
Closing donations totaled $25,057. Because of your contributions, more Idaho families will be now able to benefit from nutrient-packed milk.
Thank you, Treasure Valley. Your generosity is mooving.
