    Hello,

I was wondering what happens to the prizes if no one claimes them? Are they not given away or do they go to the online/mail in entry contest. It would be nice if more people in Oregon won a prize. It seems that there are not many winners for the larger prizes. I found an unopened ticket in a residental neighborhood…after opening it, I thought what happens when people who don’t play just throw away winning tickets. So I thought I would ask, what happens to the unclaimed prizes?
    Hope to hear a reply,
    Thank you
    Michele Mathis

    • Customer Care 21/05/2015 at 11:07 am

Thank you for your feedback, Michele. If the prizes are not claimed there will be a second chance drawing. For the official game rules and odds of winning please visit https://playmonopoly.us. ~Jenna

  2. Shelly Gallegos 21/05/2015 at 9:34 am

can I still win prizes by entering in the 12 digit code? I input 30 and nothing….or did I need to have these all entered in by the end of day on May 19th? I have many to input and if there are potential winners I’d like to get in but if not then I don’t want to waste my time inputting these codes.

    • Customer Care 21/05/2015 at 11:32 am

You are still able to enter the codes online at this time, Shelly. You can ensure that the codes are being accepted by reviewing your entered codes. Thanks for stopping by! ~Jenna

  3. Shelly Gallegos 21/05/2015 at 11:48 am

is there a limit to how many 12 digit codes you can enter in one day online? Every so often I get an error message “33” that pops up in a separate white screen. Is there a way for IT to check if my account is working?

  4. Bobbi Houghton 21/05/2015 at 12:27 pm

I was told by Albertson checker that there were no more monoply tickets…game over. The person in line behind me, an employee buying groceries, leaned over the counter and said “you still have the employee game pieces here, right?” What’s with that??? Are they different than the general publics? Why are they even allowed to play?

    • Customer Care 21/05/2015 at 6:43 pm

Hi Bobbi, Thanks for taking the time to ask! Our associates play a separate Monopoly game complete with different prizes and game tickets. Their game play is in no way associated with our valued customers’ game. Thank you for playing, and good luck! ~Faith

  5. Annia meza 21/05/2015 at 4:37 pm

I would like albertsons owner consider to do sweepstakes & promos like monopoly only in each state because the chance to win is very little. Please do not play these in too many states or all states at the same time.

    Thanks

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 5:43 am

Thanks for your suggestion, Annia. I’ll be sure to share this with our marketing team for future consideration. Have a great Friday! ~Cindy

  6. Mona 21/05/2015 at 7:27 pm

Can you tell me why are the numbers drawn for the online sweepstakes not posted or made available to the public so they can follow the numbers being posted? why is it kept secret and why are there less sweepstak
e winners when these are the same ones who take the time to enter these numbers this should be looked into. I would love to hear the response to these questions.

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 11:28 am

I assure you that there are no secrets to be held here, Mona. The ticket numbers are drawn at random, and the winners are notified by the contact information provided in the enrollment process. Hope this helps clear things up for you. ~Cindy

  7. Amy Sample 21/05/2015 at 8:24 pm

    Hello,

I have a bunch of instant winners and a bunch of receipts for tickets that have not yet been redeemed or obtained. The SOCal markets are “out of game pieces”. Is there a way to get the game pieces I earned and my instant winner tickets? Thanks!

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 5:45 am

Hey there, Amy. The last day to receive Monopoly tickets is 5/19/15 and as the official rules state the tickets are while supplies last. ~Cindy

  8. Kathy H 22/05/2015 at 6:55 am

I have plenty to enter online, but just starting and it gives me 2 states to choose from which are not mine. What can I do?

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 10:53 am

Hey Kathy, you can try selecting Albertsons as your store instead of Albertsons Market. This will bring more states up for you to choose from. Let me know if I can help with anything else. ~Mikayla

  9. Rich Hartenberger 22/05/2015 at 11:42 am

Was very disappointed that our local store in Paso Robles, CA ran out of tickets more than a week early, so that left a lot of us with free ticket coupons and no way to get them. I played religiously (which takes some time, BTW!) and was left at the end with 10 coupons that were worth nothing. I won’t be playing this game again. As a loyal Albertson’s customer I was disappointed in the whole thing.

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 3:00 pm

Thanks for the feedback, Rich. The official rules state that Monopoly tickets are available while supplies last, as all tickets are distributed to the stores at the beginning of the game. To view the official rules please visit https://playmonopoly.us. ~Jenna

  10. Mona 22/05/2015 at 2:05 pm

Hi Cindy I do appreciate you responding to one of my questions one that I knew already being a random drawing ok i get that and trust that i am not being facetious i am just wondering like the lottery why are the numbers are not posted for all to see. If there is no answer I could understand you giving my feed back to those who sponsor the game.

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 6:36 pm

Your additional feedback will be taken into consideration for future promotions, Mona. Have a good rest of your day. ~Liralen

  11. Greg D 22/05/2015 at 2:18 pm

I Have also wondered about those question Mona asked on 05/21/15 about how the game works behind the scene I also see how the answers were avoided. The winners could be someones family member for all we know.

  12. Corrinne Manning 22/05/2015 at 4:11 pm

I went to three stores sat 5/16 and i had 34 tickets to claim for more game pieces and no one had tickets! and the game wasn’t over until 5/19

i’m pretty upset! i put hours into this game.

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 7:08 pm

Hi Greg, your feedback is valuable and will be kept in mind for future gaming promotions. Associates, affiliates of the game, and their family members, are not eligible to redeem prizes. You can find additional information on the game at: https://www.playmonopoly.us/view/rules ~Liralen

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 7:16 pm

Hi Corrinne, I’m sorry to hear your local stores ran out of tickets before 5/19; the game must have been popular in your area. The rules do state that the tickets are on a ‘while supplies last’ basis. Good luck in the 2nd chance drawing! ~Faith

  13. Terri wilson 22/05/2015 at 5:03 pm

Yes this was a great question Mona pose on 5/21/15 we would love to hear the answer.

  14. Karen lisenby 22/05/2015 at 5:17 pm

My question is what happens to all the pieces that were not handed out. I wonder if it’s not a way for the corporation to lessen their chances of having to give away the million dollar prizes. I even had help from friends and didn’t even come away with a 5.00 gift card. I know that the store where I shop probably had a lot of boxes of game pieces left at the end.

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 8:54 pm

Hi there, Karen. The tickets are disbursed at the beginning of the game at random to our stores. Odds of winning are based on the likelihood of obtaining the one rare game marker needed to win, plus there will be a semi-rare game marker that is printed with odds of 1 in 5,000 game tickets. For further information on odds of winning, be sure to check it out at https://playmonopoly.us. Have a good weekend. ~Cindy

  15. Raven 22/05/2015 at 11:13 pm

I think that there is something wrong in the ticket distributing, I bought so may stuff and from all matching numbers I did not win even five dollar or in other words in all section of the numbers either 1 or 2 numbers were missing

  16. Sandra 23/05/2015 at 7:36 am

Why does the instant winner coupons say expire 06/09/15! I went in to get my free pieces and your customer service person was snotty towards me. She said it ended on the 19th,i showed her the exp june 09 and she gave me attitude. I had no idea it ended on the 19th,i was going by the front of the coupons. I just looked at the board and it says the 19th. So why have two different dates

    • Customer Care 23/05/2015 at 12:57 pm

Hi Sandra, the June 9th date listed on the coupon is the last date that potential winning tickets can be turned in. The stores stopped giving tickets out on May 19th. I am sorry for the miscommunication of the dates for the Monopoly game. I will make sure to make the Store Director aware of the incident with the associate as well. ~Kiersta

  17. Ken 23/05/2015 at 11:48 am

You mention that there will be a second-chance sweepstakes for the unclaimed prizes.

When, where and how do we enter the second chance sweeps?

    • Customer Care 23/05/2015 at 1:17 pm

Hi Ken, there will be a second chance drawing for the one $500,000 cash prize. The second chance drawing is taken from the online portion of the game. They are randomly selected on or about June 19th. Good Luck ~Kiersta

  18. Corina B Rangel 23/05/2015 at 1:26 pm

i played the game and got lots of game pieces and a lot of the same also i had lots of the code ones u have to put into comp and a lot of them said i had already used that code how if i had just opened and put in code i had about 10 or more and i think that is such a rip off and here in Boise,Id we had winners but they sure are not mentioned on this page according to our Boise stores here.

    • Customer Care 23/05/2015 at 2:41 pm

Hi Corina, I’m sorry there were issues while you were playing the online Monopoly. If you could please email me at AlbertsonsHelprs@albertsons.com with the codes you entered that received that error to allow for troubleshooting it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ~Kiersta

  19. Terry Snider 23/05/2015 at 6:33 pm

I am looking for a game board and cannot find anything online. Can you send me one or give me a link of where to find one. Thank you

    • Customer Care 24/05/2015 at 9:21 am

Hi Terry, unfortunately there isn’t a way to get the game board online. You can definitely see if your local store has some left. Also, if you haven’t already done so, check out our online game. Good luck! ~Kiersta

  20. STACY 23/05/2015 at 6:54 pm

    Hi 🙂

Been searching for a page where the current
Associate game winners are posted?? Is there one somewhere?

  21. Glenn 23/05/2015 at 9:00 pm

It is past May 19. Is it possible for individuals to download a copy of the game board if there none at their local store.

    • Customer Care 24/05/2015 at 9:42 am

Hi Glenn, unfortunately it is not possible for individuals to download a copy of the game board. However, we will definitely keep this great suggestion in mind for future promotions! Have a great weekend! ~Kiersta

  22. Tina Meldahl 24/05/2015 at 12:51 am

Tickets run out early because the cashiers hand them out with the customers receipt. Why don’t cashiers take he time to ask the customer if they want monopoly tickets? Or is this part of the tactics used so the game player has a significantly less chance to win? Also, i would like to add a response for Corina and the code issue. First of all in order to win a prize a person must physically possess the matching coded ticket. Therefor if your codes have been entered by someone else, no worries! Just watch for the drawings winning code and if you have that ticket then you will be the guaranteed winner. Its that simple.

    • Customer Care 24/05/2015 at 9:43 am

Hi Tina, that’s a great suggestion to allow for not running out of tickets. It is definitely not a part of any sort of tactic to lessen the chance of a player winning the game. Also, great suggestion regarding the codes having already been entered, Tina! I will also make sure that the Store Director is made aware of the associates not asking customers if they are playing for the future promotions in store. Have a fantastic weekend! ~Kiersta

  23. Kathryn 24/05/2015 at 8:27 am

As I have read form the majority of the above comments, this is not a fun game. I am on the other end of the game. I am the employee that handed out the tickets. We had to hear the negative stories about how many tickets they opened with no winners. Several hundred times a day. Please pass along from someone on the other end, people were unhappy with this promotion as we were for the last three months.

  24. christina williams 24/05/2015 at 9:38 pm

my question to you, would be I have entered over 400 online codes in the last few days since the monopoly game has ended and the response from the online system has reapplied back saying this is not a winner. when before I’ve had 50 pieces at a time that I have entered on line and I’ve either got extra game pieces or Red Box pieces is there a reason why this is going on? I just want to make sure I’m not just entering in the codes for no reason if I don’t have any chances of winning anything at this point. it takes a lot of time to enter the codes in and I know not everyone is doing so. please let me know if it is to late to enter the codes at this point.

    • Customer Care 25/05/2015 at 5:06 am

Good Morning, Christina. It is not too late to enter your ticket codes online. Online entries must be made by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on June 9, 2015. In addition, as a registered online player, you have also been put into the online sweepstakes portion of the game. For odds of winning please visit: https://playmonopoly.us . Have a great day. ~Cindy

  25. CHRISTINA WILLIAMS 24/05/2015 at 10:21 pm

I forgot to say that I still have a 100 more codes to enter online. please let me know if it is to late. thank you

  26. christina williams 25/05/2015 at 8:11 am

How would the winner be notified that they won the online Sweepstakes?

  27. Rose 25/05/2015 at 8:48 am

My sister and I are playing the game, I live in Grand Prairie and she lives in Mesquite. She called me and we went through the entire board and we both needed the same tickets to win anything, strange to say the least.

  28. Barbie 25/05/2015 at 9:09 am

I have several game pieces, but the stores ran out of game boards really early so I was unable to play the game. If anyone wants all my game pieces … I will be happy to mail them to you.

  29. Troy Suter 25/05/2015 at 11:47 am

I have entered a large stack of 12 digit codes and nothing in past got some winning ones to get free tickets but I have some now and can not get any redeemed at the store they do not give any out so I am stuck with them only need one on several prizes and I switched to this store rather than the one I went to and got money off on gas so I lost in the long run, not fair.

    • Customer Care 25/05/2015 at 1:47 pm

Hi Troy, thank you for sharing your concerns with us on the Monopoly game. All Monopoly game tickets were distributed at the beginning of the game and were only available “While supplies last”. Since you played online you are still eligible to be a winner of the sweepstakes as well. ~Thomas

  30. Cherylann 25/05/2015 at 11:54 am

When I first entered my tickets It said I had a possible winner. No further instructions…a few tickets later I won a free monopoly ticket online. Can someone check my codes to see which ticket the possible winner was, I got them mixed up in order and I haven’t heard anything back…thanks.

  31. christina williams 25/05/2015 at 4:20 pm

Barbie I’ll be more than happy to share a broad with you.. Now I’m not going to be able to share my address online but I will share my telephone number with you 469.422.3674.. look forward to hearing from you…. thanks for the offer we are all looking forward to winning.

  32. Rena 25/05/2015 at 6:30 pm

How do you match the rare pieces together? If two pieces for one prize are hard to get, how does anyone win?

  33. Andrea 27/05/2015 at 2:41 pm

I see that you have a bunch of winners already posted. Have all of the drawings been held? I still have a pile of tickets to match up. Would I be wasting my time? Also, I have some to enter…If I understand the above questions, that part appears to still be available to enter??

    • Customer Care 27/05/2015 at 4:09 pm

Thanks for reaching out, Andrea. Prizes can be claimed until June 9th, so you still have a little bit of time to enter your codes online, and claim any prizes that you may win with the tickets that you still have to add to your game board. Please let me know if you have any more questions. ~Mikayla

  34. Julie C 29/05/2015 at 12:33 am

I lost my job in January due to remodeling. I had a lot of time to do your contest and enjoyed shopping at Albertsons. Everyone was very helpful and kind. I am sure this promotion was not easy for them and I did not see any negativity. I enjoyed my free RedBox movies and they now have a new customer. I knew I had two of the rare/semi-rare tickets and it was fun to go online and search to see which ones they were. I too, think it would be more enjoyable if there would be more smaller prizes. I did win some free products but they were hard to find in the store or not available. I did not have any trouble logging in my codes and look forward to the online drawing. I am back to work now, but I want to thank you for all the great deals and savings during the contest.

    • Customer Care 29/05/2015 at 2:01 pm

Thank you for your feedback, Julie. We appreciate the positive comments. Which Albertsons location do you shop at? ~Jenna

  35. Keith 29/05/2015 at 12:47 am

Why does your website say that June 2 is deadline to submit a winning game board when all the game boards say June 9th is deadline?? Which is it. My daughter and I still have have many tickets to go through?

    Customer care please respond!

    • Customer Care 29/05/2015 at 2:26 pm

Hi Keith, I apologize for the confusion. The last day to turn in game boards to the store is June 9th and all online entries must be entered by June 2nd. Hope this helps to clear things up. ~Jenna

  36. Holly 29/05/2015 at 5:40 pm

To the folks that think its odd everyone still needs the same one or two game pieces – duh that’s obvious! There are one or two rare hard to get pieces for each of the prizes the rest of the pieces are common so it only makes sense that you and your friend or daughter or sister would have the same pieces and be in need of the same pieces. Common sense!! Everyone cant win a prize sheesh!!

  37. Julie C 29/05/2015 at 7:29 pm

Hello Jenna, I did most of my shopping at 4055 S. Durango Drive and 10140 W. Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas,Nevada.

  38. Kendall 04/06/2015 at 1:04 am

How come all my game tickets say that the codes can be entered until 06/09/15, but the website is showing until 06/02/15?

    • Customer Care 04/06/2015 at 8:38 am

Hi Kendall, sorry for any confusion. Prizes can be redeemed until June 9, however, online entries must be made by 11:59 PST on June 2. ~Cristina

  39. Megan Harwood 09/06/2015 at 8:33 pm

Oh thank you for clarifying… So I am assuming we have until 11:59pm tonight to bring our game boards to stores?

  40. BrandiPip 10/06/2015 at 10:26 pm

Why is it so difficult to list ALL of the final winners? I’m curious to see who won the online drawing. Where is that info at? So frustrating.

    • Customer Care 11/06/2015 at 7:02 am

Good morning, Brandi. The reason a final winners list has not been published yet is because the winners are still coming forward. The online grand prize drawing doesn’t take place until June 16th. Keep an eye out, an updated list should be out soon! ~Jenna

  41. cindy caudle 11/06/2015 at 10:59 pm

The rules need to be more clear about which wins need to be mailed in. I had a redbox year win and took the board to my local store on the 4th. They told me I needed to mail the paper and the pieces to Boise ID, when in fact it needed to be mailed to GA. This probably did not allow enough time for it to arrive by the ninth. There was not an option to fed ex overnight it just said mail certified and the letter has not yet been signed for
