There are lots of ways to reuse plastic bags, but only one way to Recycle them.
Bring your Plastic Bags Back.
Did you know that in 2011, you and your local Albertsons helped keep nearly 1 Million pounds of plastic out of our landfills?
Those plastic bags went on to a second life as they were reused in making durable fencing and decking material. We work hard to reduce the number of plastic bags that our customers go home with because we know that being responsible stewards of the environment means a great deal to you now – and also to future generations.
So next time you’re heading to your local Albertsons store, stop and grab a few plastic bags that you’ve brought home before. We can reuse them or any other type of bag you bring in for your groceries, or you can place them in our plastic bag recycling bin.
What kinds of bags can be recycled?
- Plastic grocery bags (from any retailer!)
- Dry cleaning bags
- Produce bags
- Trash can liners
- Bread bags
- and many other types of plastic
