Ready-To-Eat Chicken Wings

chicken wings

Thanks to a comedy of errors at the home where the Super Bowl party was supposed to take place, I’ve been graciously volunteered to host. To me, the big game has very little to do with the game at all; it’s all about the food. Now, I do love to cook, but this food has to last all day. I’m not going to be parked in the kitchen all day, searing steaks and taking á la carte orders from a bunch of rowdies. No, I’d like to enjoy the game also. So I’m falling back on a winning strategy: Albertsons ready-to-eat chicken wings.

Albertsons offers a fantastic array of hot, ready-to-eat chicken wings. They’re made throughout the day and replenished regularly in a convenient self-serve display. Wing lovers can choose from Crispy Zesty, Honey BBQ, Crispy Buffalo, Salt and Vinegar Glazed, Buttery Buffalo Boneless, Sweet BBQ Boneless, Orange Glazed Boneless, and Savory Breaded. It’s nice that Albertsons offers a flavor for everyone; be it spicy, sweet, smoky, sour or salty. I grabbed several of each, just to be safe.

I put out a platter with each flavor of wings and an array of dipping sauces—blue cheese, ranch, BBQ, honey mustard, Frank’s and Sriracha—along with a couple of my own creations. I also served the Orange Glazed Boneless wings with fried rice made daily in the deli, and topped an Albertsons take-and-bake cheese pizza with Buttery Buffalo Boneless wings. I also paired Sweet BBQ Boneless wings with romaine lettuce, sliced cheese, and ranch dressing to make creamy, smoky tortilla wraps.

Drawing from past success with these tasty wings, I know I won’t have to worry about boxing up left-overs. Hopefully, there won’t be any last-minute party-hosting audibles next year. But if there are, I know how to win this game.

When I asked the deli at my store for nutritional information, they said they can’t give it. I’d rather have the calories for an actual wing (drummette or wing/flat). I’m addicted to the salt and vinegar wings.

Do your wings contain dairy? My daughter is highly allergic and had a stomach ache the next day after eating. We are just trying to isolate if this was the issue. It would have been the buffalo wings.

    Thanks.
    Joy

I can certainly find out for you, Joy. Can you please let me know the store location you purchased them from? I look forward to your reply. ~Cindy

Hi, I keep asking my deli what happen to the sweet chicken wings that they use to sell many years ago, the manager thought it was a mango sauce , it had pineapple
in it , it was so good and wish someone could get me the recipe, or that you would bring it back.

    • Customer Care 23/04/2015 at 6:32 am

Hi there, Roxann. We would be happy to look into these Sweet Chicken Wings you used to be able to get. What store location do you shop at the most? We await your response. ~Stephanie

Hi from the UK! My boyfriend just returned from visiting his family in Eagle, Idaho & is raving about your salt & vinegar chicken wings!! Sadly we cannot find anywhere that does them in our country & wondered if you could perhaps give us a recipe to try ourselves? It’s a long way to travel for some wings otherwise! Thank you

  24. Roxann 20/08/2015 at 6:58 pm

I have never had a reply back on the sweet wings that you use to prepare in the deli, back in the early 1980’s , somebody has to know about this I would think and what that recipe was since you don’t have them any longer, I do remember there was pineapple chunks in the sauce, or please bring them back, my store said they were popular.

    • Customer Care 22/08/2015 at 7:51 am

Good morning, Roxann. Our deli recipes are kept top secret, but I’ll relay the request to bring back those tasty wings. Have a great day! ~Jenna

  25. Marie Too 07/11/2015 at 11:37 am

I shop at the Kingston WA Albertsons and avoid dairy. Does the recipe for any of your chicken wings use buttermilk in the recipe? How about the fried chicken? I realize it is a food service environment and you cannot guarantee something with dairy won’t touch my chicken but does the RECIPE specifically INCLUDE dairy. Thank you.

    • Customer Support 10/11/2015 at 10:12 am

Thank you for your inquiry, Marie. We recommend speaking with the Deli Department for nutritional information. They will be able to assist you with your inquiry. -Savannah

  26. David 03/12/2015 at 8:03 pm

Would love to be able to buy the “Salt and Vinegar” Powder Seasoning that Albertson’s uses on their chicken wings, it is the best and would like to be able to use it on pop corn, and baked chicken nuggets at home.

    • Customer Support 06/12/2015 at 1:20 pm

Glad to hear you enjoy the seasoning, David. We’ll be sure to forward your suggestions to our Product Buyers for further review. Thank you for your time. -Julio

May I have a recipe for the zesty punch crispy chicken wings please. I am totally addicted to these wings. I shop at Las Vegas Albertsons, and omg they are so so yummy.

    • Customer Support 27/12/2015 at 5:25 pm

  29. Sherri 07/02/2016 at 12:37 pm

Regarding the deli chicken wings, why aren;t nutrition facts avilable online? It seems all the answers are “ask at the deli” or “give me your email and I’ll send it to you”. Seems if Albertsons stands behind thier deli projects this info should be readily available. I would like to be able to compare nutrition facts for each of the recipes so I can choose the right flavor for me and my family. My Albertsons is in Carlsbad, CA if that helps.

    • Customer Support 09/02/2016 at 12:08 pm

Sherri, we apologize for this experience. Just to clarify, are you referring to the location on 3450 Marron Rd? -Julio

  30. Des 15/03/2016 at 12:25 pm

How many calories in one of the wings? I asked for nutritional info at deli counter the clerk very unfriendly and unhelpful. I tried searching on the website but no luck.

    • Customer Support 15/03/2016 at 5:15 pm

Des, could you tell us which store location you happened to visit? We’d like to address this with the Store Director. We suggest speaking with the Deli Manager for more information. -Julio

  31. Pat Reyes 09/05/2016 at 1:29 pm

  32. Mary 09/07/2016 at 9:04 am

I <3 your salt and vinegar wings! Can you tell me what the carb count is for them. (Phoenix store)

  33. Susie Wilkens 11/07/2016 at 6:09 pm

I asked for the nutritional information at the deli counter where I shop almost everyday. They said they did not have it. They said they already come prepared and they just cook them, so they don’t have that information.
I shop at the Lucky store on Howard Ave in
San Carlos….so please tell me where I can find the complete nutritional information for your salt and vinegar wings. It is a law that it is made public. So please just answer the question.
I will provide my email below. If I don’t hear and answer within 24 hours I will check with the FDA
