Prime Rib Roast


  • 1 Prime Rib Roast(1 to 1 ¼ lbs. each)
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Season roast generously with salt and pepper. Put seasoned room temp Prime Rib in a roasting pan uncovered. Bone-in or boneless doesn’t matter. Cook rib at 375 for 1 hour. Turn off oven and DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN.
  2. Let cook for 2 hours. Turn oven back on to 300 and cook for another 45 minutes. Cut and serve right away or it will cook longer sitting.
