DIRECTIONS

  • In shallow baking dish, for marinade, combine soy sauce, sake, oil, garlic and ginger.
  • Add pork chops to marinade and turn to coat. Cover; refrigerate at least 4 hours, turning meat in marinade occasionally.
  • About 15 minutes before serving: With tongs, remove chops from marinade and drain slightly. Trim piece of fat from one chop.
  • In 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, rub fat over skillet to grease well; discard fat.
  • Cook chops a few at a time until well browned and fork-tender, about 10 minutes, turning once. Serve with rice, if desired.
