Corn, Okra And Tomato Casserole

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Combine corn, okra, onions, crumbs, onions, sugar, seasonings, drippings and milk in a saucepan. Stir and cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir a little of the hot mixture into the eggs, then add eggs to the remaining hot mixture. Turn into a buttered 2-quart casserole.
Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until the mixture is firm.
Cut tomatoes into 1/2-inch slices. Arrange slices over the top of the casserole 15 minutes before end of baking time. Brush top with melted butter and sprinkle with additional salt and pepper.
