DIRECTIONS

  • The oven should be already heated to 450°F.
  • Microwave the mushrooms in a covered 1-quart microwave-safe dish for 2 minutes on high (see Note**).
  • Meanwhile, combine the tomato paste, water, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl and stir well to blend. Spread the sauce on the partially baked crust and sprinkle with the cheese.
  • Drain the liquid from the mushrooms and scatter them over the cheese. Top with the pepperoni slices. Bake until the cheese is bubbly and begins to brown at the edges, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve at once.
