Barbecued Chicken Wings

DIRECTIONS
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the onion for 5 minutes, or until soft. Add all remaining ingredients except the chicken wings. Bring to a simmer and cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool completely.
Put the chicken wings in a bowl, pour the barbecue sauce over them, and marinate for 24 to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
Grill the wings over charcoal, basting often with the marinade, for about 20 minutes of slow and even cooking.
