DIRECTIONS

  • Mix the ginger, garlic, sugar, soy sauce, and sherry in a nonreactive bowl large enough to hold the beef. Cut the beef lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Marinate the beef overnight, well covered, in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, either grill over a charcoal fire outside or on top of a stovetop grill until browned on both sides and rare or medium-rare inside, about 3 to 5 minutes.
