Vegetable-Beef Burgers

  • Combine ground beef, tomato, onion, green pepper, ground pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  • Divide mixture into six portions and shape each into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Spray a heavy, nonstick skillet with vegetable oil spray and heat over medium-high heat.
  • Add beef patties and cook 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until done as desired. Handle meat patties very carefully to prevent breaking.
  • Place cooked patties on paper towels and blot to absorb fat.
  • Serve on buns with tomato, lettuce, mustard and ketchup.
