Thai Cowboy Steak With Roasted Tomato-Chili Sauce

  • Place the garlic, peppercorns, and cilantro in a mortar and lb into a paste. Transfer to a mixing bowl and stir in the oyster sauce, soy sauce, and brandy. Add the steaks and marinate for about 1 hour.
  • Have prepared or prepare the Roasted Tomato-Chili Sauce.
  • Preheat the broiler or grill to medium high.
  • Before serving, grill or broil to desired doneness, about 3 to 5 minutes on each side for medium. (You may also pan-sear the steaks in a large skillet.) Serve steaks with roasted tomato-chili sauce.
