Honey Cake

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour one 13 x 9-inch baking pan (glass is best).
Cook, stirring gently, over low heat until well blended: Honey, oil, coffee and vanilla.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
Lightly beat eggs.
Beat the cooled honey mixture into the eggs about 4 to 5 min. until thick and pale yellow. Add the dry ingredients and beat until well blended. Scrape the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. As soon as the cake is removed from the oven, use a fork to prick holes all over the surface. Heat:
Using a large spoon, pour and spread the honey and sugar mixture over the surface of the cake. Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a rack before cutting.
