Quick Pumpkin Bread

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves in a small bowl.
In a large bowl beat together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing until they are just combined. Add the pumpkin and mix until just combined. Add the vanilla to the milk.
Add the sifted dry ingredients in 3 parts, alternating with the milk. Make sure to scrape scrape the bowl between each addition. Do not over mix.
Fold in the nuts, raisins and dates. Pour batter into a greased ban and bake for 1 hour of until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
