Baked Date Ring Or Christmas Wreath

DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mince and pit the dates. Chop the nuts.
- Combine these ingredients the sugar, flour and baking powder.
- Mix the egg yolks and vanilla.
- Mix all of the above ingredients together.
- Fold in the egg whites
- Bake the pudding in a well-greased 9-inch ring mold about 30 minutes. You may sprinkle over it, while hot, 1/4 cup Madeira or sherry or 3 tablespoons brandy or rum. Let it cool in the pan.
- Whip until stiff the whipping cream
- Fold in powdered sugar and the vanilla.
