Lasagna

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 12x8x1-1/2-inch baking dish.
Cook the lasagna noodles in a large quantity of boiling salted water for 9 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, brown the ground beef, remove, and set aside, leaving 1 to 2 tablespoons of the fat. Add the onions and garlic, cooking until soft and opaque, 5 to 7 minutes. Add the thyme, oregano, fennel seeds, pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and lasagna sauce.
In the prepared dish, layer in this order: a thin layer of the sauce to prevent browning, pasta, sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat, starting with the pasta, for all the layers.
Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and return to oven for 10 minutes.
