  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Fry the bacon in a large frying pan until crisp. Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels, and crumble. Set aside.
  • Add the butter to the bacon pan with the bacon grease and heat until melted. Add the onions and sauté over medium heat until lightly brown. Spoon the onions into the baked pie shell.
  • Combine the milk, sour cream, salt, eggs, and flour in a bowl and mix well. Add about two-thirds of the grated Cheddar. Pour the mixture over the onions.
  • Scatter the crumbled bacon and the remaining cheese over the top and bake for 30 minutes or until the center is firm.
