Whiskey Cake

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour a 9-inch bundt pan.
Sift the flour and salt together and set aside in a small bowl.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, vanilla extract, and orange rind until smooth. Gradually add the sugar, beating until blended.
Add the eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy and light.
Combine the milk and whiskey and add alternately with the flour to the butter and egg mixture, blending well after each addition. Stir in the pecans.
Pour the batter into the bundt pan and smooth the top to make a level surface. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan on a rack for about 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and continue to let stand on the rack until completely cool. Place on a cake plate or platter and dust with confectioners' sugar.
