Bananas Suzette and Grilled Pound Cake

DIRECTIONS

  • Peel bananas and slice on the bias. In an 8-inch skillet over medium heat add the sugar, juice, and butter. Heat 1 minute or until butter melts and sugar begins to dissolve. Add the bananas and heat about 4 minutes more or until bananas are just tender, stirring once. Stir in the pinch of nutmeg and remove from heat.
  • Grill pound cake slices on rack of uncovered grill, or use a grill pan, for 1 minute or until golden brown, turning once.
  • To serve, spoon bananas and sauce over pound cake slices. If desired, garnish with shredded orange peel and additional nutmeg.
