DIRECTIONS
Place all of the marinade ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, and stir to mix well. Set aside.
Slice the steak into 8 equal servings. Pierce each piece several times with a fork, and place in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, cover, and chill for several hours, preferably overnight. Turn the pieces only once.
Remove the steak from the marinade, and discard the marinade.
Line a broiling pan or shallow baking pan with aluminum foil. Arrange the steak pieces on the pan, and place in a preheated broiler, 2 to 3 inches below the heat source. Broil for 10 to 12 minutes on each side, or until the steak is done to your preference.
While the steaks are broiling, arrange the drained pineapple slices in a single layer on a shallow baking dish. When the steaks are done, remove from the oven and cover to keep warm. Place the pineapple under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes, or just until the slices begin to brown; watch closely.
Place a split roll on each of 8 individual serving plates, and place a piece of steak on the bottom half. Top with the second half, garnish with a broiled pineapple slice and lettuce leaves, and serve hot.
