INGREDIENTS

Beef Teriyaki Steak Sandwiches

DIRECTIONS

  • Place all of the marinade ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, and stir to mix well. Set aside.
  • Slice the steak into 8 equal servings. Pierce each piece several times with a fork, and place in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, cover, and chill for several hours, preferably overnight. Turn the pieces only once.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade, and discard the marinade.
  • Line a broiling pan or shallow baking pan with aluminum foil. Arrange the steak pieces on the pan, and place in a preheated broiler, 2 to 3 inches below the heat source. Broil for 10 to 12 minutes on each side, or until the steak is done to your preference.
  • While the steaks are broiling, arrange the drained pineapple slices in a single layer on a shallow baking dish. When the steaks are done, remove from the oven and cover to keep warm. Place the pineapple under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes, or just until the slices begin to brown; watch closely.
  • Place a split roll on each of 8 individual serving plates, and place a piece of steak on the bottom half. Top with the second half, garnish with a broiled pineapple slice and lettuce leaves, and serve hot.
