Onion & Garlic Twists

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400F (205C). Grease several baking sheets with butter. In a medium-size bowl, beat butter until creamy.
Beat in garlic, onion, egg yolks and water. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into bowl; blend in with a spoon then mix with your hand to form a soft dough. Knead lightly on a floured surface until smooth. Roll out to a 14" x 10" rectangle. Trim edges to make straight. Cut in half crosswise. Using a pastry wheel or a knife, cut dough in thin strips, about 7" x 1/4".
One strip at a time, carefully twist strips; place on prepared baking sheets. Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle lightly with coarse salt. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Very carefully remove from baking sheets to wire racks; cool.
