DIRECTIONS
Rig for grilling over charcoal. Using a mortar and pestle, mash the garlic and roots. Add the lime juice, fish sauce, and sugar, stirring well. Put the octopuses into a container and pour the soy sauce over them, tossing to coat all sides. Place the octopuses whole (in a single layer) on a grill. Cook for 5 or 6 minutes, turning to cook all sides. Do not overcook. Place the octopuses in a serving bowl and pour the lime sauce over them. Serve hot with rice and vegetables.
