DIRECTIONS

  • Prepare the rice according to package directions.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Using a pastry brush, brush the tortillas with water, or rinse them under running water and shake off excess. Stack the tortillas and seal in aluminum foil. Place in the oven to heat for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry. Cut into thin strips. Season with salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Heat a large non, stick skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Place the chicken strips into the skillet so that the pieces do not overlap. Stir for 4 - 5 minutes until cooked through.
  • Place the vegetables in a microwave-safe dish. Add a few table, spoons of water, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at full power for 3 minutes. Let stand, covered, for 3 minutes.
  • While the vegetables are cooking, mix together the ketchup and hoisin sauce.
  • To serve, place the tortillas, rice, chicken, asparagus, ketchup/hoisin sauce, sesame seeds, cheese, and salsa on the table. Allow each person to make individual wraps with favored fillings. Suggested fillings: For the Chinese Chicken Vegetable Wraps include rice, chicken, asparagus, ketchup/hoisin sauce, and sesame seeds. For the Salsa Chicken Wraps, include rice, chicken, asparagus, cheese, and salsa.
