DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, following the manufacturer's suggested cooking time.
A few minutes before the pasta is done, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté just until it turns light golden, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the red pepper flakes and sauté until they release their aroma, about 30 seconds more.
Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately, passing Parmesan for guests to add to taste.
