Wonderful Chocolate Waffles

DIRECTIONS
Turn on waffle iron to preheat.
Measure the butter and chocolate and place in medium-sized saucepan. Melt the mixture over low heat.
Measure the sugar and corn syrup and pour them into the mixture in saucepan.
Add the vanilla to the chocolate in the saucepan. Once blended, remove from heat.
Add egg, then beat mixture until blended well. Add egg substitute and beat until blended.
Measure the flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda and put them in the mixing bowl. Stir together with spoon.
Pour the chocolate mixture into the mixing bowl with flour mixture; add the buttermilk. Stir until blended well.
Coat waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. Pour in the amount of batter recommended by the waffle iron manufacturer. Remove waffle when done (the waffle will become nice and crisp as it cools).
