Raisin Spread

DIRECTIONS
In a 1-1/2-quart saucepan, combine raisins with water. Cover pan and bring to a boil over high heat. When raisins become plump, about 30 minutes, transfer to a strainer and rinse under cold water. Set strainer over a bowl. With the back of a wooden spoon, squeeze excess liquid from raisins. Discard liquid.
Place raisins and remaining ingredients in a blender or food processor (with metal blade). Process, scraping sides occasionally, until a smooth paste forms. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours. Store in a covered container in refrigerator for up to one month. This is perfect on biscuits or plain muffins.
