DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan melt margarine or butter. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 minute more.
Microwave directions:
In a 2-cup measure micro-cook margarine or butter, uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 30 to 40 seconds or till melted. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Add 2/3 cup milk all at once and stir to combine. Cook, uncovered, on high for 2 to 4 minutes or till thickened and bubbly, stirring every 30 seconds.
