Warm Apple Tarts With Applejack Sauce & Cinnamon Ice Cream

  • Prepare the Cinnamon Ice Cream recipe and allow to freeze or use purchased ice cream.
  • Prepare the Almond Cream recipe.
  • Prepare the Applejack Sauce recipe.
  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Cut out six 4-1/2-inch diameter circles from the pastry sheets (use a large cutter or a knife traced around a saucer). Spread each circle with 1 tbsp Almond Cream.
  • Arrange the apple slices in a pinwheel fashion on the prepared pastry circles. Top with pats of the butter and sprinkle with the sugar. Place the tarts on a baking sheet and bake on the bottom rack of the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and baked on the bottom.
  • Generously coat the bottom of each dessert plate with the Applejack Sauce. Place 1 warm tart off center on each plate and scoop the Cinnamon Ice Cream on top. Serve immediately.
