Baked Rice Provencal

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Place the rice and the onions in a lightly oiled baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine the basil, oregano, salt, vegetable broth powder, and water. Mix well and pour over the rice. Stir and cover.
  • Bake the rice at 350°F for 1 hour.
  • Uncover the rice and top it with the tomatoes. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil and the garlic. Brush this mixture over the tomatoes. Cover. Return the mixture to the oven and bake for 15 minutes more.
  • Serve with bean and vegetable dishes.
