Your Santa Bucks Went a Long Way this Year
Dec 1st, 2015
Throughout the month of December, Albertsons turned to the local community for help with Santa Bucks, a charitable campaign to help feed those in need. In addition to the money that was raised for Turkey Bucks in November, Santa Bucks pulled in another $380,706 for the Intermountan Division. All of your generous donations will be used to purchase complete meals (two hams, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and gravy) for local food banks in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.
As a finale to the campaign, representatives from the Idaho Foodbank and Albertsons met at the Albertsons store on Overland and Orchard in Boise to unveil some of the local donations. Santa Bucks brought it nearly 1,100 holiday meals for the Idaho Foodbank, totaling over 3,400 meals and breaking records between both the Turkey Bucks and Santa Bucks campaigns. “It is my pleasure to present this food donation to the Idaho Foodbank on behalf of the generous support of our customers,” said Brad Street, Intermountain Division President.
None of this would be possible without the generosity and giving nature of our local communities. So for that we truly say thank you to all of those involved. Because of you, more families will be able to enjoy a full holiday meal this year.
