Cheese Primer

Delicious possibilities lie within the cheese display case

You can explore the world, country by country, one cheese at a time. Fresh or aged, mild or pungent, creamy and soft, or crumbly and dry, cheese can add infinite flavor and variety to your cooking. Experiment by adding a little bit of blue cheese to your macaroni and cheese, sprinkling parmesan on your salad, or crumbling feta on your spaghetti.

A great way to introduce your family or guests to different varieties of cheeses is with a cheese plate. It’s easy to make: Just pick three cheeses—one goat’s milk, one cow’s milk and one sheep’s milk cheese, or one hard, one firm and one soft cheese. Add some fresh or dried fruit and crackers and serve as an appetizer or dessert.
