Thousands Line Up to Race for the Cure in Boise on Saturday
May 10th, 2016
It was a beautiful morning in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, May 7. Not only was the weather perfect, but the most beautiful part of all was the fact that thousands of race-goers lined up with one common goal- to help raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.
The Albertsons Headquarters was glistening with a sea of pink for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Women, men, children, pets and clowns (yes, clowns) came out to support the cause through a myriad of events, including a competitive 5K and Fun Run & Walk.
Why do so many people race? To help fight for the cause together. One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and every minute, someone in the world dies of breast cancer.
