Chiles roasting

The biggest roasting event of the year kicks off Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 in Southern California at selected Albertsons stores! Hatch Chile aficionados can pick up a 30 lb. sack for just $34.99, roasting included. Considered New Mexico’s premier chili pepper, Hatch Chiles are favored across the country in restaurants specializing in spicy Southwestern cuisine.

When picked green, they are called long green Hatch Chiles. When ripened, they are known as long red Hatch Chiles, and food connoisseurs wait patiently each year for these delicacies! Add a kick to your salsas, sauces, casseroles, stir-fries, enchiladas, soufflés, omelets and just about anything else!

I missed the event in Rancho Cucamonga this year, however; I’m able to make it to the Montebello location on 09/03/2016. Is there any way to be placed on a mailing list? I don’t live in Rancho Cucamonga so I don’t received any type of notification of when the chili comes in. It seems as though it came a little early this year to the Rancho store.
