New Albertsons/Safeway users: If you’re new to the app, it’s simple to download and register. Search for “Albertsons” or “Safeway” in the App Store (iPhone®) or Google Play (Android®), register with a phone number, add offers to your account, and enter your phone number during checkout. The savings will automatically be applied to your purchase!


Existing just for U® users: If you’ve already been using the just for U® savings tool, simply download the new Albertsons app and sign in using your existing account with the same email address and phone number you’ve already been using.


Existing Safeway users: If you’re a Safeway shopper and have already been using the Safeway app, continue to enjoy your app as usual.


Desktop users: A desktop version is now available when you click on the just for U® tab at! The Safeway version is also available at

    Can Safeway just 4 for u customers use their phone numer to get savings at Albertsons?

    Do you have to have a smart phone in order to use the digital coupons at this time? I signed up and added a digital coupon to my cart, when I entered my phone number it didn’t give me the discount. I used my laptop to add the coupon.

    The local ad has digital only coupons. Why would award select customers and disenfranchise those without smart phones?

      Hi, Jim. Your local ad may have a combination of coupons that you may clip on your just for U or use the barcode attached to receive the savings. The just for U program is now live on our website so you may register or login and clip the coupons you see in your local ad. Hope this helps! -Julio

    My store has Just for U tags up and i downloaded the app. It says I have an account but I don’t. I was at the store and got tired of trying to log in. Called the phone number and hung up after being hold for more than 10 minutes. Now I’m home and trying again and now the app says there is no store in my zip code. Not true.
    Why would you torture your customer lke this? It’s a HORRIBLE user experience. Since I REFUSE to shop at Safeway anymore, now I’m going to have to leave my neighborhood and go to a Kroger owned store. Sick of this membership ridiculousness. I want to shop and I want the lowest offered price.

    How can i get savings using a laptop? Im tired of not getting rewards when i only shop@ Albertsons, We dont own cell phones and sure in the hell dont like being ripped off because you guys cant figure how to put U save on a me when i say I been shopping at Albertsons for 16 yrs..

    When I load the mobile app and try to look at the Just for U coupons a window opens saying, ‘There are not locations in your area,’ (yes, I entered my zip code). There is an Albertsons 3 miles from my house. The address to that store is 12970 W. Indian School Rd. Litchfield, Az. 85340.

    When I called they had no idea what I was talking about and stated they do NOT take Just for U coupons.

    Love the Just for U. But you need to quit changing it all the time. I’ve had to re sign in 3 times now. Pick one and stay with it. I only shop albertsons and would suffer hate to go somewhere else due to your changes

    Can printed manufacturer coupons – which appear to be the same as those contained in the just for u app, also be used? For example, the Kraft website has $1 off 2 Ziplock, as does the app. Can I hand the cashier the printed coupon, and since I checked the just for u app Ziplock coupon – will I have savings of $2.00 – or will the printed manufacturer $1 savings not process?

      Hello Doreen, Thank you for asking. Yes, you can use a manufacturer coupon and a Just for U coupon as long as the Just for U coupon is not a manufacturer coupon also. The Just for U coupons will say if they are a store coupon or a manufacturer coupon. The register is automatically set up to determine this. We hope this answers your question.     It seems to me that the Just for U can only be used with phones. All I use my phone for is talking. Can I use Just for U with my computer?

    The store does not register the coupons properly and consistently. I had to fight to get my $5 discount and they refused to check their system. Don’t use this ap. I just wish stores would give a fair, lower price without all of the Gimmicks!! I won’t shop Albertson’s any more.

    I am able to download the regular digital coupons onto my card from my laptop but then there are digital coupons with big red boarders in the add that say digital only and I never see them on the site where I download the other just for u coupons. Is there another place I need to be on my computer to load them to my card?

    I just used my rewards at Chevron and lost 85 points I had in my app towards my next gas reward.

    How do i get my points back?

      Kathleen, thank you for inquiring. If your points don’t reach 100 to convert to 1 fuel reward for redemption before the end of each month, they will expire. If you’d like to email us the email address you use to sign in and Club Card number or phone number associated to, we can review your account to see if the expired 85 points can be added back as a courtesy adjustment.     I registered on my pc, just downloaded the app on my phone in order to use the digital coupons. I hit add on the coupon, which put it in my list. When I go to the store, do I give them my phone number & the item will automatically discount? Thanks!

    Why is it that my weekly ad gives me just for you prices at extreme prices and i go to the app and i can not find the price that is advertised in the app? Another reason i HATE these apps!!!
    Looks like bait and switch tactics to me!!

    I’m getting so frustrated with this ” Just 4 u” deal. I’ve been trying for a week to get the benefit of the J4U. I don’t have an Iphone. I have Albertsons in my computer. that is where I read my ads. However when I try to click on just 4 u. . it tells me its “unavailable in my store. . I check and recheck the address. . only one store in Lake Havasu. . how hard is that? I go to the store and they tell me it IS set up in this store. I have tried about 20 times over the past week. . I’m ready to give up. NOT EVERYONE has an Iphone you know. . . if I can’t get the deals because I DOn’t have the right kind of phone. .that is a form of discrimination. . isn’t it??

    Tried to use the just for u and it has failed twice! The discounts on the app do not come off on the receipt. This app is bogus and a complete waste of time! Done shopping at Albertsons! In order for this to work, it has to fail, then go to customer service to get the coupons that don’t work on the app!

Anytime you plan on visiting a different store location, you want to make sure you have that store selected as your preferred store. Once you have selected your preferred store, you will then be able to add any digital coupons for that specific location as some of our offers do vary by store.     I have tried to use the desktop version. I want to make sure I am doing this right. I clicked on the items I wish to purchase. I sent the list to my email. When I get to the store I simply enter my phone number. This way I do not need a smart phone to participate correct? Thank you John

    I tried to download this app, but when I do it says that I need to verify my payment method. WHAT?? I’m NOT paying with my phone, not now and not ever, so why do I have to verify that??

      Hi Doreena! We apologize that you are having this issue with our Albertsons mobile app. The Albertsons app for iOS and Android itself does not have any reason to be asking for your payment method. Is it possible that this is the Albertsons online shopping app that you are using?
      When placing an order through the online shopping app you will be prompted to enter a payment method. Our Albertsons mobile app is used for viewing the weekly ad and loading your just for U offer at your local store. We hope this helps! Thank you! – Patrick

    Where can we view our points, to see how close we are to receiving a reward?

    And did I read correctly in a comment above that points expire? Do the points really only last a month? Please explain this. What is the cutoff point?

      Hi Mona! You can see how many points you have at the bottom or your receipt after each purchase or by registering for a Just for U account at Also, for every 100 points you earn you will recieve one reward for use on fuel or grocery savings. While any unconverted points will expire at the end of that month, the rewards themselves expire at the end of the next month they were earned in. We hope this helps. Thank you- Patrick

    I have been using the app for a few months now and never have gotten the coupons to work, today the store manager told me when I select the item it goes onto my list, I then have to go into my list, and select each item again for the coupon to work – huh??- I don’t think you would develope an app that I have to waste time double selecting a coupon, if it’s true, no wonder everyone at my store is so upset, we are thankful you print them again so we can use coupons the old way, paper. Help us understand selecting coupons to use digitally.

    Your app is the absolute worst. I can’t believe you have not found a way to simplify it. It has taken me many tries and many trips to customer service to get it right, and I’m willing to bet that the vast majority of your customers who use this app are not getting the discounts that they think they are.

    I did not find the sale item I was looking for in the just4u section, or in the weekly ad section. My husband bought five 12-pack of coke products (that was featured in your four-day sale in my weekly flyer that came in the mail). He gave both of our phone numbers but did not get them at the ADVERTISED PRICE of $2.49 each! I am so frustrated over learning how to use to this ap. It does seriously feel as though you are making it so difficult to use on purpose, maybe to increase your bottom line because you think perhaps we will just give up on getting our best price, as advertised! It stinks and reeks as an unethical way to do business, not to mention it is another way to let your customers know that you really don’t give a damn about us. I already have to look at the weekly ad each week, I bring my own shopping bags, I drive to your store to shop. Now I have to download my coupons (unsuccessfully I might add), and even then we don’t get the coupon prices! You guys are literally Too Much! UGH! Talk about “Customer UNappreciation)!

    Why doesn’t entering my phone number at checkout get me the best price? I don’t what to load coupons on my phone while I’m shopping or scan items in the store. I just shop and an expect the best price when I enter my membership number at checkout. Why is that so hard to ask. I find myself going to little further to the other store chain so I don’t have to keep asking the cashier if I have the best price.

    I’m 69 and tried to set up on my Iphone and tried and couldn’t. I’m sticking with Walmart without the headaches. Plus on my way home on Flamingo st. I stop at a small Mexican supermarket for fantastic prices on all vegetables. These old cards and now Apps. are made to make a higher profit for those who don’t have or know how to use a app. So much for customer satisfaction. I used to shop with the card all the time and will go somewhere else. You lost business to Technology.

    Regardless of using the online site on my laptop (an Apple MacBook Pro) or the APP on my iPhone no matter what I do, I cannot get an ABQ area store to show up. The closest store that shows up to zip code 87124 is a Gallup store. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the APP from the App Store without any success.

    How long is it going to take you guys to realize The mobile app sucks. They do not work for many people and you are wrong to say one can use their laptop to get the discounts. Felicia hasnt a clue what she is taLKING ABOUT. At the store they tell you to call and a customer wiwll be guided through the process. WRONG.
    Someone should file a class action against the Albertsons/Vons company.
    This policy sucks!!!

    I do not have a smart phone so I am being discriminated against. At your store, I have been held up by several people in line before me trying to use your app. I am convinced I will not be going this route when I do get a smart phone. A lot of people I meet now at Walmart agree.
