Talking Rain Beverage Company (Sparkling Ice) and Albertsons raised over $25,000 for local food banks, Thursday. The Albertsons store on Vista & Overland in Boise, Idaho, hosted a shopping spree with top performing store directors from the Albertsons Intermountain Division. The store directors filled shopping carts with as many grocery items as possible within a two-minute period. Each store director rushed up and down the aisles with one goal in mind – to help those in need.

The event resulted in $12,133.79 worth of groceries for The Idaho Foodbank. Talking Rain donated an additional $15,000 to local food banks in Oregon (Oregon Food Bank), Montana (CMR High School Food Pantry and Custer County Community Table), Colorado (Community Food Bank) and Idaho (The Idaho Foodbank). A grand total of $27,133.79 was donated from the event.

“It is an honor to be able to support one of the first fall season campaigns for hunger action month,” Kevin Klock said, President and CEO of Talking Rain. “Childhood hunger affects one in five children in the United States, and we are proud to partner with such a worthy cause and organization.”
