What is FreshPass?

FreshPass is a paid subscription program that gives free unlimited delivery on orders over $30, and exclusive perks. Subscribers enjoy the following:

How does it work?

Sign up for one of our FreshPass subscription plans and we’ll waive the delivery fee on orders of $30 or more for the selected duration. You can choose a monthly plan for $12.99/month or an annual plan for $99/year, plus applicable taxes. (The annual plan averages out to just $8.25/month.) When you’re shopping online, just choose delivery and at checkout, you’ll see the delivery fee has been waived. This offer does not apply orders placed through third party platforms.

How does the $5 promotional credit work?

Annual active paid FreshPass subscribers will receive a monthly credit valued at $5 every month until the end of the year. You can use your $5 credit in store or online, the choice is yours, just be sure to spend at least $5 to enjoy this benefit! Each month you’ll see your credit appear in your FreshPass gallery, where you can clip for your next purchase. 

When will my Rewards Expire?

As long as you are an active, paid annual or monthly FreshPass subscriber you can keep your Rewards! That’s right, they will no longer expire as long as you have a paid subscription. 

How do I claim my monthly Starbucks® Perk?

Be sure to check your FreshPass gallery and clip the coupon, and redeem at your favorite in-store Starbucks Café before the expiry. 

How do I change my subscription plan?

You can change your subscription plan any time by signing into your account and selecting “FreshPass” in account settings. Changes will go into effect at the start of the next plan period. 

How do I cancel my subscription?

Sign into your account and select FreshPass in the left column navigation. Under the Subscription Summary box at the top of the page, click on “Cancel Plan” and follow the instructions. If you cancel your subscription within the first 15 calendar days of your then active subscription period and you have not placed any orders during that period, your subscription will terminate immediately. If you cancel your subscription period after the first 15 calendar days of your then active subscription period or you placed an order during the first 15 calendar days of your then active subscription period, your subscription will terminate at the end of the then active subscription period and it will not renew unless you send us instructions to renew. If you have signed up for a Free Trial and you cancel your subscription prior to the expiration of the Free Trial period, you may continue to use the FreshPass subscription and services for the full 30 days of the trial.

If I cancel my subscription, will I get a refund?

If you cancel your paid subscription before the first 15 calendar days of the paid subscription period have passed and you have not placed an order through the service during the first 15 calendar day period, your monthly or annual subscription fee will be fully refunded.

If you cancel your paid subscription after the first 15 calendar days have passed or if you use the subscription during those first 15 calendar days, your monthly or annual subscription fee will not be refunded. However, you still may continue to use the FreshPass subscription and service through the end of either your monthly or annual subscription plan end date.

If I don’t use the service, can I get my money back?    

If you don’t use the service and cancel within the first 15 calendar days of your subscription plan, your subscription fee will be refunded. If you cancel after the first 15 calendar days, your subscription fee will not be refunded.

How do I change my delivery address?

Sign into your FreshPass account and select Account Settings. Under the Account Settings, you’ll see a section titled “Address Preferences.” Click on the “Update”  button and follow the instructions.

How do I change the credit card associated with my subscription?

Sign into your account and select FreshPass in the left column navigation. Under the Subscription Summary box at the top of the page, you’ll see a section titled “Payment Method.” Click on the “Update”  button and follow the instructions. 

Does the FreshPass subscription apply to third party platforms (such as DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, Shipt)?

No, our FreshPass subscription does not apply to orders placed through third party platforms.

FreshPassTM Terms & Conditions

FreshPassTM is a grocery delivery subscription program that waives the delivery fee for scheduled deliveries on orders of $30 or more for a Subscription Fee and provides special perks to subscribers (as described in more detail below). Service fees, special handling fees, and/or taxes may still apply and may not be covered by this FreshPass. These terms apply in addition to our eCommerce Terms Of Use.

MINIMUM PURCHASE IS REQUIRED. The FreshPass is only applicable for orders of $30 or more (calculated based on pre-tax subtotal of all qualifying items in cart at checkout, excluding alcoholic beverages, tobacco and fluid dairy products).

One FreshPass per account. [Note: If multiple eCom registered customers use a single address, your FreshPass cannot be used by multiple accounts] FreshPass cannot be transferred or assigned.

YOUR FRESHPASS WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT EXPIRATION OF YOUR CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD, AND THE THEN-CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION FEE (PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES) WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED AT THE TIME OF RENEWAL WITH AN ACTIVE CREDIT CARD ON FILE IN YOUR ACCOUNT, UNLESS YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE END OF THE THEN-CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD [AS DESCRIBED BELOW]. You authorize us to automatically charge your default payment card the then-current price for your renewed subscription order. We will continue placing your subscription orders and charging your payment card until you cancel your subscription. If you would like to change your payment method you are responsible for updating your billing in Your Account Settings You represent and warrant that all billing information you provide to us is truthful and accurate and you are authorized to use the payment method in the manner contemplated here. If the payment method you provided to us is declined or if a payment was not successfully made by you, you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts. If a payment is not successfully made and you do not cancel your account, we may suspend your access to the subscription, including without limitation your FreshPass subscription, until we have successfully charged a valid payment method.

“ALBERTSONS COMPANIES SUBS” will appear as the merchant on your credit card statement representing the fee charged for your FreshPass..

For Monthly Subscriptions: We will send you a reminder email at least 3 days before payment is due to the email address listed in your account.

For Annual Subscriptions: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of your annual subscription renewal date by email to the email address listed in your account.

CANCEL AT ANY TIME. If you want to cancel your FreshPass or if you would like to change which credit card is charged or your email address, you can make the change in Your Account Settings. Click on the “FreshPass” section and select Cancel or Change Payment Card. You can also cancel by emailing us at deliverysupport@safeway.com or by calling us toll-free at 1-877-505-4040. Refunds of eligible paid subscription fees will be made as described below.

REFUND POLICY

You may cancel within the first 15 calendar days of your paid subscription and receive a full refund of the subscription fee you paid, but you will only receive a full refund if you have not placed any orders using your subscription during the initial 15 calendar day period.

If you cancel within the first 15 calendar days of your paid subscription and you have placed orders using your subscription during that initial 15 calendar day period, you will not be eligible for a refund, but you can continue to enjoy your scheduled deliveries free of the delivery fee through the end of your billing period and your subscription will not be renewed when the subscription period ends.

30 DAY FREE TRIAL

You may be given the opportunity to test our FreshPass Program through a 30-Day Free Trial . Only one Free Trial subscription is available per account holder. You will be required to provide a valid credit card when you register for the Free Trial. Unless you cancel your subscription prior to the expiration of the Free Trial period, your trial will be converted into a paid subscription and your credit card will be charged the then-current applicable Subscription Fee covering the next month or year (depending on the trial plan chosen). Your FreshPass will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period for another month or year period (depending on the plan chosen) and your credit card will be charged each month or year (depending on the plan chosen) until you cancel. TO AVOID BEING CHARGED you must cancel your FreshPass before the end of the 30-Day Free Trial period or the then-current paid subscription period. If you want to cancel your FreshPass Free Trial, you can make the change in Your Account Settings. Click on the “FreshPass” section and select Cancel or Change Payment Card. You can also cancel by emailing us at deliverysupport@safeway.com or by calling us toll-free at 1-877-505-4040 . You may only use this Free Trial Offer once. Albertsons reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to withdraw or to modify this Free Trial Offer and/or the 30-Day Free Trial Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice and with no liability.

CHANGES TO SUBSCRIPTION FEES

Albertsons may change the monthly or annual fee charged for FreshPass at any time, but we will send you an email notifying you of the change and the new subscription fee at least 30 days before the new Subscription Fee goes into effect. You should check your junk folder to make sure you are receiving email communications from us. Any such fee change will be charged to your credit card on the subscription billing cycle that starts 30 days after we give you notice of the change. You can cancel at any time before the new Subscription Fee goes into effect to avoid any increased Subscription Fee. If you fail to cancel your subscription prior to the subscription renewal date you will have agreed to pay the revised subscription fee.

CHANGES

These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time in Albertsons sole discretion. Your continued use of FreshPass after such changes will be deemed your acceptance of revised terms, which will apply to your subscription. Albertsons reserves the right to accept, refuse, or cancel your FreshPass subscription at any time in its sole discretion.

Rewards & Perks Specific Terms

PERK DETAILS: $5 promotional credit

New paid annual FreshPass subscribers will earn one monthly credit valued at $5 every month from the start of their FreshPass subscription through December 31, 2021. Existing FreshPass annual paid subscribers will receive one monthly credit valued at $5 every month from June 2021. Credits can be applied to in-store or online purchases of qualifying products. Subscribers must clip the $5 coupon in their FreshPass gallery to activate the credit and to redeem the credit. Minimum $5 purchase of qualifying products required to use the credit, excluding taxes and fees. Promotional credit cannot be exchanged for cash or gift card and may not be reissued or prorated for refund. $5 promotional credit cannot be used towards alcohol, lottery, money orders, prescriptions and copays, postage stamps, prepaid cards, gift cards, newspapers and magazines, milk (where required by law or regulation), bottle deposits, bus passes, hunting and fishing licenses, any imposed governmental fees and items reimbursed by a government health plan, all the preceding of which are excluded from qualifying products.

PERK DETAILS: 5% off O Organics®& Open Nature® products

This offer is available to FreshPass members only. 5% discount on O Organics® and Open Nature® items apply to qualified purchases in a single transaction. Percentage discount calculated after deduction of promotional and loyalty card savings, coupons and all other discounts, offers and savings. Qualifying purchases exclude: alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and fluid dairy. 5% Discount on O Organic® and Open Nature® items does not include bulk/random weight products. Offer must be clipped from FreshPass gallery each month in order to receive the 5% discount.

Rewards Don’t Expire

So long as you maintain your paid monthly or annual FreshPass™ subscription, gas and grocery Rewards (as defined in the Albertsons for U™ Terms and Conditions) your Rewards will not expire. (Rewards earned previously will follow the current Rewards expiry). That means that your Rewards total, as long as you remain a monthly or annual subscriber, will decline only when you use those rewards for fuel, grocery or other applicable experiences or discounts. Otherwise, the Rewards will remain in your Albertsons for U account (unless applicable law otherwise requires) until your FreshPass subscription ends or the FreshPass program is terminated by Albertsons Companies. If your FreshPass subscription is cancelled or expires for any reason, your Rewards will expire 1 month after the calendar month in which your FressPass subscription is cancelled or expired.

PERK DETAILS: Starbucks®Monthly Perk

FreshPass™ subscribers will be issued a monthly Starbucks® perk, which will be determined by Albertsons in its sole discretion, subject to availability and subject to change. Offers are personalized to the FreshPass™ subscriber and store associated with the subscriber's loyalty account.

Subscribers can select their perk/offer through their FreshPass™ gallery, by clipping the coupon. Offers will be posted monthly for subscribers to clip. Offers will expire at the end of each month in which the offer is issued and cannot be carried over to the next month. These offers have no cash value and can only be used at our participating in-store Starbucks Cafés.
