We have a coupon for Monolopy that reads ” No Card Needed”. What does that mean or how do we use?

    • Jana 06/05/2013 at 7:19 pm

Hi Russel, Some of the Monopoly Collect & Win game tickets contain friendly reminders about our in-store programs. “No Card Needed” means that you don’t need a card to receive the lowest prices in our stores. I hope that helps! Have a great rest of your day! ~Jana

  4. B 21/06/2013 at 3:06 am

monopoly game was a fake, it was Albertsons way of selling. Otherwise there would be winners announced. False advertisement.

  11. Marlene 14/02/2014 at 5:50 pm

Why is it if I work at albertsons and I win cash that yall tax it

    • Customer Care 18/02/2014 at 8:38 pm

Hello, Marlene. I’d be happy to further assist you. All I’d need to know is the prize you had won, and the city/state you’re in. Please email me at , with this info. I await your email. Thanks! ~Cindy

  12. LUCY 22/02/2014 at 10:48 am

How do I enter the online entries that I receive with the game pieces? It says to click on game link but I see nothing like that on the website: Is there somewhere else I need to go?

  13. alysa 26/02/2014 at 7:36 pm

What are the pictures for that come with the code? Do you need to match three like pictures and you win the given item?

    • Customer Care 27/02/2014 at 7:33 pm

Thank for your question, Alysa! Each prize section is marked on the official game board with the correct game marker numbers needed to collect to win that specified prize. I hope this information helps and good luck! ~Shasta

  14. Suzanne 28/02/2014 at 2:26 pm

How do you get the red tickets? How come when you buy an “item””like Durcell” you don’t get the extra promised ticket?

    • Customer Care 06/03/2014 at 11:31 am

I’m not aware of any red tickets for 2014, Suzanne. There are blue ticket packets for our customers, and green for our associates. If you have seen red ones, please let me know by emailing Regarding the extra ticket, it depends on whether the Duracell product you purchased is a “bonus buy” item or a “bonus ticket” item for the week. If it is a bonus ticket item, you should receive an extra ticket. If you did not, please see the Customer Service Desk at your local Albertsons. If it is a bonus buy item, then you actually need to purchase 10 bonus buy items to earn a ticket. Please let me know if you need anything else. ~Marie

  15. Melissa 02/03/2014 at 4:02 am

If I won the backyard makeover, could it be traded for cash? I have no yard…

  16. sherry mccain 02/03/2014 at 9:28 pm

I click on the link you posted to entry game codes and nothing happens. It stays on this page. Please send me the correct link or fix this one.

  17. Kristi 04/03/2014 at 6:01 pm

Do I need to have the original Online Game Code and Sweepstakes Entry for verification, if I’m a winner of the “second chance drawing”? I don’t want to keep all those pieces of paper for the next 4 months unless I have to! This isn’t specifically stated in the Rules for 2014.

    • Customer Care 06/03/2014 at 11:05 am

Nope, Kristi, you do not need to keep all of those piece of paper. Thanks for your question and good luck! ~Marie

  18. Julie 15/03/2014 at 2:10 pm

Hello, In playing the Albertsons Monopoly Game, how do I log in the 12 digit code for 2014? Please advise. Thank you so much! Julie

  19. Kristi Brunit 17/03/2014 at 2:23 pm

This Monopoly is the biggest hoax ever. Not only doesn’t this game reward instant prizes or, much give another free game piece. It’s a way for Albertson’s to collect names for future ads.

I used to buy food at Albertson’s exclusively (even with a Vons next door).

I’ve never won a thing. NOT ONE THING. I used to be in advertising/marketing and know this is a back door way to collect names to reach and target more ways for co-op advertisers to use you as “bait and switch”.

Poor, decieved suckers like me…. DON’T submit to Albertson’s con. And by the way, the game is rigged. They don’t care about the one time participants, they will NEVER win. So says one of the cashiers at the Albertson’s I shop. I believe her. Shop Vons or Smart & Final…or a local market would be grateful for your business.

  20. Kristi 17/03/2014 at 2:31 pm

By the way, anyone looking to find the link to the coupon code…..there isn’t any. All Albertson’s wants is to collect names.

Do you ever wonder why there are so many responders who ask for the link? Albertson’s want to get your name and make it virtually impossible to get to the sweepstakes link.

I hope many of you will pass on this message. And I hope the corporate offices of Albertson’s know that consumers aren’t ignorant. Because that’s what they’re hoping for. They consider customers are simply stupid. Shame on Albertson’s. Shop elsewhere.

    • Customer Care 18/03/2014 at 12:56 pm

Hi Kristi, thank you for posting your concerns about the Monopoly game. We can assure you that your information is not sold to third parties outside the company. We have many customers who participate and are able to win prizes such as one of the backyard makeovers. If you have any concerns finding the direct game link you can visit We will also forward your comments and concerns to our marketing department. Thanks for stopping by. ~Victor

    • Customer Care 20/03/2014 at 11:57 am

Thank you for your comments, Kristi. I can understand it would be frustrating to play the Monopoly Game and have nothing to show for it. Each game ticket will contain either a special discount offer, an online code or an Instant Winner prize of a grocery gift card, free product or two free game tickets. Please see the Odds of Winning under our Official Rules on for more information. I would also encourage you to view our Privacy Policy within our Official Rules to see how we may and may not use the information we collect.

I’d like to let you know that, as of March 13th, we have already awarded 17,000 Instant Winner prizes (NOT including the two-free tickets prize) in our Online Game! Also, every code that is entered gives you an entry into our Sweepstakes which gives you a change to win a $1,000 prize or the Sweepstakes Grand Prize of $15,000! So, even if you are not an instant winner, you could win one of our sweepstakes prizes.

We’d be happy to check your codes for you. Please email me at with the email address you used to register for the game and we’ll check it out! ~Marie

  21. Krit 17/03/2014 at 2:40 pm

Note that when I posted that the Monopoly game was a hoax, Albertson’s said “it’s in moderation” mode” They didn’t want me to post that for poor public relations reasons. Hope this goes through to smart consumers…which they don’t think we are.

  22. James Jones 20/03/2014 at 10:05 pm

I went through the self-service checkout and my receipt says that I have earned 3 Blue Monopoly Tickets. How do I get the tickets and the codes?

    • Customer Care 21/03/2014 at 5:11 am

Hello, James. All you would need to do is take your receipt to the Customer Service Desk and explain that you were not able to get your stamps and why. Make sure you bring your receipt! Have a great day! ~Stephanie

  23. M Schatz 30/03/2014 at 9:07 pm

The inability to reach the playmonopoly site seems as if there is fraud in this game. I will be contacting whoever I can to have an investigation of this game done by public authorities. The game is rigged, if you cannot play as indicated.

    • Customer Care 30/03/2014 at 10:18 pm

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve not been able to reach the game site, M. Can you please let me know which site you’re being directed to? I’d like to look into this further for you. Thank you. ~Cindy

Thank you for playing, Elizabeth, and I apologize for the inconvenience. My suggestions would be to use a family member’s or maybe even a friend’s printer. Also, you could visit your local library and utilize their printer. I hope this helps and please enjoy the rest of your week. ~Shasta

  25. brandy 11/04/2014 at 4:01 pm

every time I put the code in its invalid help

  26. Chaya 25/04/2014 at 10:50 am

    Two questions:

    1. The rules say that you can get one free ticket if you make any purchase at all, except for certain things like alcohol. At my store, you don’t get any tickets at all unless you buy a specially marked Monopoly item.

    2. The rules say there are two different kinds of ticket, “game tickets” and “Bonus game tickets.” At my store, there is only one kind of ticket, period.

What gives? I would have liked to get a free ticket without having to buy specially marked products. By now I should have had at least 30 of them.

    • Customer Care 26/04/2014 at 12:18 am

Hello, Chaya. Here’s some clarification on the rules of the Monopoly game. According to the official rules, the customer will receive a game ticket with each purchase transaction, for each participating vendor product purchased and for every ten (10) bonus items purchased. The bonus game tickets are simply and extra game ticket that is given when you purchase 10 bonus items. You can request a free game ticket plus a bonus ticket by mailing a hand written, self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Monopoly® MON-7 Collect and Win Game Ticket Request
      Attn: Promotions Coordinator
      P.O. Box 965905
      Marietta, GA 30066

We hope this clears up any confusion you have with the Monopoly game. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. ~Jake

  27. Geradie Schmalriede 26/04/2014 at 4:34 pm

I have won 20 monopoly game tickets a 2 prizes.

  28. Chaya 28/04/2014 at 12:50 pm

No, Jake, your answer does not clear up my “confusion”–nor does it clear up my problem. Why has my Albertson’s store never once given me a ticket simply for making a purchase? Never. Once.

” According to the official rules, the customer will receive a game ticket with each purchase transaction, for each participating vendor product purchased and for every ten (10) bonus items purchased. ”

You did not address my problem. Not only have I played this game faithfully each time it has come out without winning SO MUCH AS $5, my store is not following the rules–and now here you are, calling it my “confusion.”

I think I’ve had about enough of Albertson’s. The game has been a colossal waste of my time. Not worth putting up with clerks who are aggravated by the whole Monopoly game concept or with people like you ignoring my questions.

  29. KRISTI 07/05/2014 at 9:07 pm

This game is BS. Not only is it difficult to find out where to plug in your online game card code, but it is next to impossible to win even $5.00. I have been a loyal shopper but not anymore. The company doesn’t acknowledge frequent shoppers at all. Vons is my next loyal supermarket. Too bad Albertson’s, I used to spend at least $100/month in your store.

Shame on you. Watch your stock slowly wane.

  30. Sherry 14/05/2014 at 1:19 am

I am playing the game everyday…I hope I win but it def does not look promising at all. I buy everything I can here and I spend 100 every other day at Albertsons. I have not even won a 5.00 gift card 🙁

  31. Joyce Hiatt 18/05/2014 at 12:13 am

I must have an old password for Albertson’s.
If I have I can not remember it! What to I do now? Or can you clear it for me? Thank you

    • Customer Care 18/05/2014 at 11:23 am

Hey Joyce! If you are referring to the regular website, you should be able to submit a “Forgot Password” request and have a password reset email sent to you. Same for if you are entering the Monopoly Game and you already registered for 2014. If you have not registered for the 2014 Monopoly game, then you would need to register as a “New Player.” If you need any additional assistance with any of these scenarios, please email me at – Thank you and good luck! ~Marie

  32. brenda 26/05/2014 at 4:35 pm

When was the date and time cutoff to enter my codes online? I have about 200 to enter. I thought the game went to June 10. even though they stopped giving tickets on May 20. Why can you still enter codes if the game is over? Why doesn’t it close the site where you enter them? Why did the message say for me to keep the game pieces till the game was over if it would be too late to use them?

    • Customer Care 26/05/2014 at 5:25 pm

The game does continue until June 10th, Brenda. You can still enter codes for the Online Sweepstakes and redeem Online Game prizes. This excludes the 2 free game tickets, since the last day for ticket distribution was May 20th. Also, if none of the top six prizes are won, then the codes enter you into the Second Change Drawing. So, keep entering your codes! You have until 11:59 PM on June 10th to do so. Good luck! ~Marie

  33. cyndi 26/05/2014 at 5:06 pm

Three months of buying specific items to get tickets. I entered 42 codes and won $2 off a $20 purchase. If I charged minimum wage for the time spent tearing tickets and matching (and mostly throwing away) stickers to the board, I would be rich. My instant wins were things like 25 cents of off a bag of Hershey’s candy. So not worth my effort or my money. Back to Winco I go!

  34. David 27/05/2014 at 2:02 pm

I am giving up after this year, not only did our board fail to even give up $5 (after spending around $2k during this game time), I just entered 31 more online codes & guess what? ZERO winners! And I drove an extra 3 miles past our local Tom Thumb Flagship Grocery Store to do this! I hope they do the stamps for pots and pans this fall -at least you know if you have anything!

    • Customer Care 27/05/2014 at 6:14 pm

We appreciate your participation, David, and we understand your frustration with the game. I will make sure that our Marketing Team is aware so that your thoughts and comments may influence the game the next time around. Thank you for visiting our blog today and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. ~Shasta

  35. David Drum 29/05/2014 at 4:08 pm

for all the codes entered that were not a winner, do they still count for the second chance drawings? Thanks

    • Customer Care 29/05/2014 at 7:48 pm

That’s correct, David, but only if none of the top 6 prizes are claimed by 6/10/14. We appreciate your post and your participation! You may review the Official Rules for additional information at I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. ~Shasta

  36. nancy cordrey 31/05/2014 at 10:57 am

Anyone notice that all the major prize winners were from California and Midwest (Like Texas, etc.) No one in the east–very strange!!!!! Guess they sent all the winning tickets to those states on purpose! Done with this–just reduce food prices!

    • Customer Care 31/05/2014 at 7:21 pm

Hello, Nancy. Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. We have Albertsons locations in almost every state on the western side of the country, the number of locations on the eastern side of the country are significantly lower. With that in mind, the number of winners in the west have a high probability of being higher than the number of winners in the east. I hope this clears up some of your confusion. If you have any other questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. ~Stephanie

  37. karen stephens 01/06/2014 at 7:27 pm

could not find where to enter sweepstakes codes online. had until 6/10/2014 could not find web site. waste of of time and decided its a hoax!

  38. Paula 10/06/2014 at 3:50 pm

can’t find my board and the store doesn’t have any. I know this is the last day but I still have about 100+ game pieces… what do I do? where can I get a board, I’ve been searching everywhere online!
    thanks for your advice!

    • Customer Care 10/06/2014 at 4:42 pm

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, Paula, the only place to get a game board is at the store. You might want to check other stores in your area to see if they have any more. Thank you for shopping at Albertsons and playing our Monopoly Collect and Win Game. ~Marie

  39. Paula 10/06/2014 at 4:17 pm

do we need a board to play/win?

  40. Jahna 07/03/2015 at 12:25 am

I have a whole bunch of monopoly tickets but I have no idea what they mean. How does the game work? Are there instructions? I’ve never played actual monopoly so I’m kind of confused.

    • Customer Care 09/03/2015 at 6:32 am

Hi, Jahna. To play the game, you will need to open the tickets. You will then find either a coupon good for cents off a product in our stores, online game/sweepstakes code, a coupon good for an instant winner/ free product or two (2) free game tickets, instant cash or a service message. Also inside are four markers, designed to affix to the game board, just match them up to the board. The online game pieces can be used at ~Victor

  41. Erica Kritzer 15/03/2015 at 5:09 pm

Is there a game board for the monopoly game? if not what do you use all the little pieces on the right side of the card for? If there is a game board where do you get it from?

    • Customer Care 16/03/2015 at 10:19 am

Hi there, Erica. You can pick up a game board by speaking with our associates at the Customer Service Desk. Good luck! ~Shasta

  42. Marianna 01/04/2015 at 1:34 pm

I have a ticket but wheres the code? Theirs a coupon in it and some brands next to it that have something on the bottom.

    • Customer Care 01/04/2015 at 4:02 pm

Thanks for reaching out, Marianna. Not all of the game pieces have the codes. The pieces that do have online codes will have a combo of letters and numbers that is 12 digits long and the smaller pieces with codes on the bottom are the ones that you will stick to the game board you get from your store. I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with. ~Mikayla

  43. Sonja Wall 23/04/2015 at 12:22 pm

Once the codes are entered for the sweepstakes, do we need to keep those code tickets and do they need to be presented if I received an email that I’m a potential winner of the drawing? I have thrown all non-winning codes away….

    • Customer Care 23/04/2015 at 7:27 pm

Yes, Sonja, you will need to hang onto your winning online codes for additional verification and presentation. The site should tell you if you are a potential winner of a specific prize. You can find additional information on the online portion of the game at http// under section 4, “Online/Sweepstakes Coupon Code Entry.” Hope that helps, and good luck. ~Liralen

  44. Dean West 22/05/2015 at 5:12 pm

Why was the contest so poorly run, that my local Albertson’s has been out of game cards for two weeks?? How is it fair that the contest continues – but only if you have a store that has tickets? I went out of my way to shop at Albertsons (as I am sure you intended) and went through the task of pasting all the little pieces on, only to have my access to cards abruptly end while others continued to play the game. I won’t be duped by one of your “contests” again.

    • Customer Care 22/05/2015 at 8:54 pm

Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry to learn of your disappointment in our Monopoly game this year, Dean. I’ll be sure to share your concerns with our marketing team for review. ~Cindy

    • Customer Support 28/04/2016 at 4:23 pm

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues
of plagorism or copyright infringement? My
site has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but
it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement.
Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being stolen? I’d really appreciate it.

    • Customer Support 20/04/2017 at 2:27 pm

Argelia, The red tickets are for the employee game and they will not work on your customer board. The employee game is completely separate and has its own prizes. We apologize for the confusion. -Dolores

    Hello there,
It says that my account has been suspended, though it never said why and I can’t find any way to fix this. Any idea as to why this might have happened? Or if there’s a way to fix it? I had just entered in a ticket code, and then it kicked me out and said I was suspended.
